Not only did I get both of my arms covered in poisen ivy, my 98 custom doesn't work.

I have a cyclone and a new barrel installed on it, however, whenever I fire it, it goes back to an uncocked position after a few shots.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

This is most likely the simplest and most common fix for problems like this…make sure you are using a full air/co2 tank. I can not tell you how many times I have seen posts in this forum about problems due to an empty air tank
I have no reason to think that your cyclone feed or new barrel would affect your cocking system unless you messed up your valve some how when you put in the replacement power tube that came with your cyclone feed. Had you used your cyclone feed before this problem happened? Take a look at your valve and power tube and make sure everything is in place. Oil your o-rings while you’re at it also. But try filling your tank before you crack open your marker and valve.

As for ..!..('_')..!.., I have no idea how e-bolts even work on Tippmanns…can you even find those anymore?

Not GTA ones new anymore. You can Get BSI ones. I think New. But the problem was no air. My friend put it in his cocker and it did the "Psssssh" sound that means that the tank was empty. Thats good I guess. No Valve screws and no Ball detent really suck. I now know that E-Bolted ones dont JackHammer...

Oh.. I see why it's not working.

I'm missing my valve nuts. I've read the problem guide and came to a conclusion, that my power tube becomes misaligned, so that gas escapes through the bolt, then the bolt just uncocks. I've noticed the bolt would uncock halfway. So, I guess I just need to replace the nuts.

Damn it. Does anyone know where I can just get two valve lock bolts without spending $15 or more?

You meen the only two screws on the left side of the marker if your looking at the front of it? If thats the case, that would be me. I have extra two pairs. One from Tippmann Parts kit, and my stock ones from my old Tippy before I got the Stainless steel Kit. Let me know real soon and ill ship them out tomorrow. Just like send me $5 cash. I know it sounds weird, but If you want them, I have to ship tomorow because of other deals. PM me your address along with what your getting and what your giving me. 3 things going out to 3 diffeent people tomorow...

How would I pay you? I can't use paypal because I'm only 16 and have no credit card, and my parents wouldn't like the idea of giving money to someone they don't know.

If you know a guy who is a dealer, he might give you some of the parts off of one of the 98C in the store...(i know a guy who's doing it with a valve for one of my teamates (it's his backup))

Well your lucky. Im only 15 and I gotta ride my bike a mile just to get to the post office to ship cash out to people. I have 4 things going out tomorrow so if you want it, tell me quick so I can ship it out with my other stuff...

Ah, that sucks. I'll just go see if that proshop will give me the bolts.

Maybe you can save up for a moped!

Hmm.. Or I can buy a spiffy set of stainless steel screw replacements from tippmannparts.

Yea. Stainless Steel ones are good. They need a larger allen Key to set them in, but I like them. They also stick out a bit...

Ironic you mentioned it. My Gas Scooter busted a Year ago just when PA outlawed them... Sucks...

If you can wait, call Tippmann and theyll send you one for free...

Haha, I had a paypal account when I was 16. Mine, not my parents. They didn't even know. But that was back when Paypal didn't require credit card numbers for an account.

Just go to any hardware store and get some 10-32 screws. Won't cost you more than a quarter I'll bet. If you look hard, you may even be able to find two that have a black finish. If they have to be allen head, you may need to go to a specialty fastener store for those.

..!..('_')..!..
07-10-2006, 08:29 PM
Really? I didnt know that hardware stores sold those. Thats weird.

Hmm, as long as they fit, I don't care! I'm never taking out my power tube after the whole ****-I-stripped-the-threading-on-my-freaking-valve-because-I-was-installing-my-cyclone-now-I-need-thirty-bucks-to-buy-a-new-one incident.

I'll consider the stainless steel set in the future.

If you stripped the powertubes threads, you need a new one...

No, I'm talking about the valve, I already replaced it.
