Besides the forums the main focus of this site is the reviews correct?

I am just trying to figure out the reason why I see so many "disputed" reviews which in most cases the people replying are correct and not because they either don't like the user or feel the review was wrong because they spend 100+ dollars on a item label when there is something better for alot cheaper , But because the reviewer is a 12 year old that has either never touched the product or did not get to have it long enough to give it a full review , Over biased , and give it a 1 , while others feel like a product is great just because of a "logo" when chances are its made by a 5 year old in china, Or the fact they spend 800+ dollars on a marker and dont want to admit it might of not been the best choice.

Anyway I would really like to see mods assigned to certain catagories ( sp ? ) to clean up the reviews from trolls etc . I dont believe any gun should have 500 reviews and 10.0 cause it says dye on it but on the other hand I dont think it should have a 9.4 either just because some guy with a brass eagle tornado decided to falsely write a review .

Anyone else ever get chunks of bone in their taco bell? :/

I think that mods used to be assinged to different Reviews, but it got out of hand... And I agree. One Member who dosent like it ruins the Reviewers Credibility... It should be more like 5 Disputes, its disputed. And most disputes ive seen spawn from the coments page. When someone who didnt write the review says something stupid, someone clicks dispute and it labels the Review.. Youre right...

Its just when you see someone with a aci maverick reviewing a ego / dm / shocker etc and then giving the high end marker a bad grade, in your head you know the person probably didnt buy it or even get to shoot it ( one is even a brass eagle user ) .. And alot of these guys have things like "similar products used? .. ALL ECOCKERS ALL DM'S ALL TIMMI'S etc , i mean come on its pretty obvious thats false , Budd orr I doubt has shot every ecocker heh .

I have also seen reviews disputed for senseless reasons like someone had given it an 8 because as most state "there is no best marker , but currently i find this the best in my eyes" and take off another point for something minor , then you have a dispute of WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ITS THE BEST GUN EVER , just because the guy gave it a 8 and not a 10.

I really think the point system should be removed or changed . also adding things what is the current marker they use etc . and having to enter something to be able to enter the review .

Not to mention 80% of people who have reviewed products have never even made a post on the forums , I firmly believe that even though I do not have alot of posts that reviews should ONLY be avial to those who have at least 100 posts , i believe this would fix most problems.

I dont even read the reviews anymore. I dont want to know what abunch of 13 year olds think about anything. I just IM someone I trust on the subject or go talk to someone in person about it.

heh yeh some of the disputes are stupid though I have disputed a few things especially when one guy said the ion was bad because it was capped at 15bps, thats a real accurate review right there.

While a member can dispute a review, Andrew will make the final determination on whether it goes or stays. As of right now, he's the only one (and he's impartial) to take care of these types of issues.
