My tippmann has an expansion chamber on it, and I'm about to buy a hpa tank (most likely a crossfire). Will the expansion chamber make any diff at all? Would I be better off if I just took it off? Thanks for help

Really, all the expansion chamber will do is restrict airflow. You can leave it on and have no problems, but you should look into a regulator also. But running HPA with an expansion chamber will show no problems.

Im planning on not buying a reguator till a couple of months after I get my tank. This wont greatly affect its performance right?

A reg will improve your efficiency, but that's about it. All high output tanks have a built in reg that has an output pressure of 850PSI. Your Tippy will handle the pressure with no complaints.

Be sure to get a tank with a high (850psi) output, not a low (400psi) output.

X-chmbers can mess with hpa because it doesn't need the extra space to expand just take it off.
