What Gun to Buy?

Hi, just new to the sport. Well sorta, been playing for a year, but just rented a gun. Now I want to buy my own gun. What would you recommend for a gun, air, mask, accessories. Consider a quality, upgradeable, good looks, all that stuff. Keep total under 500, thanks everybody!!

I suggest a Tippmann Model '98. It's a really good beginners gun. Easy to use and strip. Packages with Tippmann's usually run around $170 I think. I would suggest http://www.shop4paintball.com, and I would aslo suggest getting a 32 Degrees Terminator Barrell, and I picked that up for $36.95 at Shire Online. That's what I have, it's my first gun, and I like it a lot, and would suggest it and the barrel to anybody really.

try and rent first also make sure u get a good mask u should try diff masks on b4 buyin aslo a spyder se ist that great of a gun 4 the mony if u want a spyder get a XTRA and not a shutter, they have a lot of useless things. another gun would be the RAS intruder they run 4 around 300 CND they have a side mouted vert feed

if you don't know much about how guns work get an automag w, or w/o powerfeed you decide. if you know how cockers work then get one of those.

Start small- come on guys- a newbie with a mag or cocker? I say, start with a ray, but since you are getting better with rentals, an F-4 or M98, the MOST durable- but the 98 is more upgradable- don't move to cockers until you are in a tounament. Mags are for the people who are good enough to be in a tourny- but can't find sponsership.

I would like a gun that would last me a while and be upgradable. A stingray? I am not that cheep!! Something like a Piranha PSI G2, Spyder Xtra, F4. Looked at the AutoMags and Cockers, pretty expensive. I like thelooks of the Cocker better, but need to find one around 500. Thanks

cocker around 500 is the 2000. Umm I like the 32 degrees rebel LE now I do I went for the bandit last time the LE is like spyders but cheaper. M98's are good if u have enough money and really want an m98 get the RT I think it's a little bit of a rip off though.

Xeon, you do want to look cool dont you? Actually I dont know how that gun performs, so if you know someone who says it works well, I'd suggest it, but if you dont, I really would be cautios about it

Hey- stingrays are nice guns- just need a barrel, bolt, and MAYBE some modifications. I don't think you are ready for a cocker yet- no offense, but I just don't like them. I don't like things too complicated. Mags would be nice- but I say you should advance with your gun before them. Then go for a mag.
