Well I am curious how many people here wear pads. As for myself I dont know if I want to or not and I want to see how many people here do.

Since my JT's have great padding I really don't need any knee pads. But I was thinking about getting some elbow pads since the ones on my C6 aren't that thick.

I don't wear knee padding (although I plan on getting some eventually). Right now I just wear eclipse elbow pads but im going to start wearing JT elbow pads with the eclipse ones.

I wear slider shorts, and elbow pads. The man-pad restricts movement to much for me though so I had to remove it.

I would never play w/out my kneepads. My knees will thank me later.
I'm not much of a diver (back player and I've have too may bad experieces), but I wear elbow pads for increase bounce. If you're a slider, elbowpads are a god-send.

I might get some elbow pads eventually, but I want to buy a new jersey first to see if i actually need them. My knees are fine when i slide so i will probably never use kneepads

I have to wear both down here, most fields are so rocky I'd tear up my pants and shirt if I didn't...which of course happened before I got the pads. Plus, it's so much nicer not feeling the full force of the rocks on your joints.

Ditto. I love my Proto pads. Good padding, never slide around, and decent venting.

What's with people going "I never wear pads." Does it make you feel more manly? Because I suggest you try doing supermans and slides on rocky surface and you won't feel manly much longer. And isn't the more bounce the better? So what has higher chance of breaking? Hitting your kneecaps / elbow or hitting a softly padded elbow/kneepads? Obviously the latter.

But seriously, I use empire ground pounder knee and elbow pads. I usually put the elbow pads under my camo jacket, and wear my knee pads over my pants.

As for all of you who dont use pads, seriously look into them. A bad slide, or even a normal slide can reek havoc on your joints, care for your body and where some protection.

The field I like to play on is turf so i dont really need pads there. I will probably get some pads if i ever start playing on bad fields

bounce. one set will cover supermans, but two makes sure you never get a break on your arms. thats why i do it anyway.
