The New Batch of Rats have Mutated some, and for the better we think, You still get all the choices as before, but we have added a Titanium Pull Pin, and changed out the hammer assembly to the All American Competition Assembly. I have been busy building my daughters Rats and here it is

Shipping probably Tuesday or Wednesday, we still need to gas up and test them all, Monday is Presidents Day. Heres a close up, but the lighting was bad

I thought you weren't going to use TI pull pins

Whats the differance between the stock hammer and the AA assembly?

johnnyrotten
02-16-2002, 05:08 PM
What we said was the previous set-up was not a performance upgrade using the Titanium Pull pin, with the New AA assembly, it works great, here is a statement directly from the engineers at SP " If you lighten one thing you must counterbalance the weight somewhere else, and by changing things around some, you might get better efficiency and performance, but too light and you lose the force required for the valve to stay open for the right amount of time" Trust me the new set-up is nice.

what is the diff between a bluegrass rat and like a caverat? sorry I don't know that much about these but I think they are really sweet..

please describe the competition hammer thingy, is it now a stock part? if so, how do you identify it?

johnnyrotten
02-16-2002, 06:54 PM
I cant go into detail just yet about the AA Hammer, it is gold in color and the Rats and the All Americans Impulses are the only ones with them right now. Soon as I can I will explain better

coolcockerguy
02-16-2002, 06:57 PM
is it just color? is that the only diff between the diff rats?

There is another Oddity in this new batch. SP had a new guy doing the serial numbers. Instead of the serial numbers begining with "RAT" - as they are supposed to, they begin with "MI"

The cave rat, Weir Rat, and Blue grass Rat, (from the new litters) all have the same goodies. The specs do varry from the the earlire rats. First these all have the freak barrel with AA front (what you were supposed to get on the Weir Rats the first time around- but SP did not include)

We supplied our own labor to bulid this batch (mostly Walt- but Johnny popped in to help when he could) They realy needed some guns done for a NPPL team, so first he build them. They he Build the Rats. As a reward, they let him have the AA Comp hammer and Ti pins for the same price as the stock Iteams. These two iteams were not advaible when we had the first batch done, and frankly, they wouln't have bee advailble this time except that Walt was building the team guns- and found out about the new hammer.

This hammer and pull pin WILL NOT be advailble on stock guns. Simply put, the improvments are small- mostly in consistency- therefore not worth putting into production.

Hey FOM or Johnny,

So all of the recently-arrived Rats have shipped out now? If that's the case, mind if I call and bug you guys for a tracking number?

MuckRaker
02-20-2002, 04:16 PM
spantol ... they ship Priority Mail through the US postal service, don't know if they'd have a tracking number for that.

spantol
02-20-2002, 04:26 PM
I had asked for mine to be Express Mailed, as I was hoping to have it in time for a tournament Sunday. I thought USPS gave tracking numbers for that, though I could be mistaken.

Hehe I am sending my matrix back. you guys still have some of those beautiful bluegrass rats?

c0ck3r_b0i
03-10-2002, 12:52 PM
:confused:im kinda confused, those are impulses, upgraded, correct? if so why are you guys calling them rats?

The Legend
03-10-2002, 04:01 PM
They are Rat Impulses, like a Toxic Impulse, Adrenalin Impulse, Nasty Impulse, Eclipse Impulse, Demonic Impulse, etc.

Bluegrass question-

I've been considering a bluegrass rat, but I have one concern-

Later on down the road, I may want to upgrade to an I-Frame. If I bought the I-frame from you guys, could you anno it to match the bluegrass?

FOM
03-11-2002, 07:59 PM
At this point, the only "color matched" I-frames we are doing is on our special edition glossy finish guns (Rat on speed and Moon light rat)

The problem is time-- If I order unanodized I-frames- it takes 2-3 weeks to get in, then I have to send it out with a bach of rats (which may take a month to do) Most fokes don't wnat to wait 2 months before they get their I-frame

FOM

Nastyimpulse
03-12-2002, 04:58 AM
Hell, the wait would be worth it just to get the there big I-FRAME logo off the darn thing. But that is just my opinion though, it just makes the thing look so f****** ugly.

Tempest261
03-12-2002, 07:09 AM
Yeah, I'm not one to worry about looks too much, but I refuse to put that frame on my impy with that logo on there.

FOM
03-12-2002, 08:08 AM
Boy I wish I knew everyone wanted this-- I had a bunch of unaondized I-frame sent out -- I could have just sold them without ano!!!

FOM

Tempest261
03-12-2002, 08:36 AM
... or with your own custom anno that doesn't have a big stupid logo on it ;) *caugh* hsw *caugh*
