Sounds like a plan, if you ask me, though they rarely have them in stock, considering their popularity.

orderpaintball.com is really cheap and you can go to the want to buy trader section and buy a used paintball gun with a mask and hopper and everything

No, they actually have a bunch of them. If you ever look at actionvillage auctions, they have them almost all the time. But since you're banned you didn't need to know that.

But Spyder Imagine would be a good choice. That or you could spend a little more and get a Pirahna EVO. It's low pressure and has eyes:eek: . That costs about $100 or less used.

Used Pirahna EVO+Used Egg=$140
Refurbished Spyder Imagine+New Egg=$123

Actually not, sure it may say regular $329.95, but even when they first came out they didn't sell them for that much money. The Pilot ACS I would say is probably only worth $100 since the refurbished Imagine is so close to it and much, much cheaper. Refurbished Imagine is a much better deal.

Go with the imagine.

the pilot has a 40$ ACS, and the upgraded 20bps board, and its new.

thats worth the extra 50$

The ACS bolt is probably worth only $20. And so what if the board is capped at 20, its not like you're going to go faster than 13 or 14 bps anyway so what's the need of the extra 6 or 7 bps cap. With that extra $50, you can get a used barrel kit, new 1 piece barrel, used reg, used T-board with eyes, used Egg, new Apache, new feedneck, new trigger, new bolt, and more. An Imagine with any of those is better than a Pilot.

He said he needed a gun and hopper under $140.
Refurbshed Imagine-$63
Used Egg- $40
Cheap upgrade-$37

Not if he doesn't have the $50.

Model 98 is the best entry level marker. Very Reliable, very easy to maintain, very durable and it shoots no better or worse than any other mechanical triggered blow back. I like spyders, but the 98 is just better for new players.

But the Imagine is electric, and probably a better price, not as durable though.

Has the poster said what kind of game he will be playing? Woods, Speedball?

The Imagine off of Actionvillage is a good buy. So if he has $140 let's roughly estimate this.
Gun=$60
Mask=$20
12oz. CO2 tank=$10-$20
200 round gravity fed hopper=$5

Total=around $120.

He might even have enough for a 200 round case and a CO2 fill.

If he's antsy about buying a used gun like I was for my first one he could go down to Dick's Sporting Goods and buy a Spyder Sonix Pro value package for $120. It comes with a mask, a 200 round gravity fed hopper, a 12oz. CO2 tank, a 9.5 inch barrel, and a Spyder Sonix Pro Marker. With the $20 left over he could buy a case of 500 paintballs and get a CO2 fill.

E-Spyder without a e-Hopper is a bad idea. Period. Besides an E-frame just adds one more thing that can go wrong. Noobs don't need the speed anyways. The Model 98 can be kept essentially forever, unless you sell it you will always have it for a back up; I like spyders but you can't say they are that robust.
