I am thinking of getting a new barrel for my WGP karnivor. I have heard good things about the redz pepper stick and the evil pipe. I want the most accurate, but also really quiet barrel. What about the stiffi. Keep in mind this is for an autococker

Since you want a quiet one i would go for the freak kit, if accuracy is most important get a pipe kit.

For cockers you need a kit so you don't have balls rolling around. I would suggest the evil pipe. It isn't very quiet but it is really accurate and really nicely priced.

I like the pipe kit, but i believe the Redz kit is soo much more practical for it. The barrel backs is long enough for you to remove it where as other kits the backs maybe too short and makes it a hassle to remove. Other than that, the Redz kit is dead sexy, mirror honed and light.

I noticed the pipe has 5 backs and start at .682 but the pepper kit starts at .687 Im thinking about the pipe but i can get the pepper kit for like 40, the only thing thats keeping me from buying a pipe kit is that its loud and i want something uber quiet.

you wont notice the noise when your tagging your opponents out. At that price, you cant go wrong on the Pipe kit, go for it.

Autocockers are quiet guns, so basically any barrel is quiet enough for it. To be honest, don't worry about noise one bit. It really doesn't make a big difference on the field--your opponent will hear the gun fire or paintball whiz by regardless of what barrel is on it. That said, I would go with the Pipe kit.

i guess so, but i could probably get a redz kit cheaper, that and my karnivor is pretty loud (i dont know why)

Well if you dry fire with now hopper it will be a bit loud, but if you had a loaded hopper on the cocker, it will be quiet.

no not karni's i put paint and aired it up, it shoots as loud as spyders and tippmans.
All though it might be because i adjusted the three way to occomadate my .682 barrel.....I dont know

Stiffi is a great choice

all cockers should sound the same if timed right i think.

i mean that the paint i use is .685-.688 so i adjusted the three way to power the balls through a smaller barrel, therefore its louder? I dont know if thats the reason.

I dont know what your talking about, Karni's dont have a 3-way, they have a solenoid in place of a 3way. And even if you had a 3-way on there, adjusting doesnt control the ball going through the barrel and it does not effect sound.

Aren't the driver and the pipe basically the same except the driver is one piece and doesn't have changeable backs?

A lot of autocockers are loud. Part of it could be your timing, but some of it could also be reduced with a really good, tight fitting bolt with 0-rings, and lowering your operating pressure.
I use my pipe with my dragunfly (cocker clone) all the time and I'm fairly impressed with it's accuracy. Mine chops a lot tho (timing issue [blowback] prolly), and the barrel doesnt shoot thru breaks well, I get curves until I squeegee it out.
My J&J edge kit is a lot quieter, and shoots thru breaks a LOT better, but doesnt have some of the backs that I need for getting better accuracy and more consistant fps with small paint (like scorch). That, and the larger bore backs are so big/thick that they scratch against the barbs.
