Anyone ever bought a Tank used, or would you suggest it? You can get them so much cheeper, but I dont want anything blowing up on me :)

Honestly I would only buy from someone whom I knew real well so I know how it was treated... Like you said I wouldn't want somehting going off like a grenade. (probably can't really happen though)

well... have them take pictures of all angles (clear pics) and if you have any complaints, have them hydro-test it and send them the extra price of the test....

seems to be in good shape, but i would ask for more pics/other angels... you gotta be sure about these things

Ask him to take pics of the other side, and to use flash. Using flash while taking a pic of a metal tank will show every single little dent, ding or scratch.
It is a steel tank though, and they are durable as hell. :)

I got a 68ci 4500psi max flow off of ebay for like $200. It didn't work when I got it, but I called smart parts and ordered a replacement for something it was missing, and $10 later I had a fully functional brand new max flow.
