OK so I did not find this in the help threads

I just got the grip back from Tippmann service dept and after installing and programming I found out that the sear was not being tripped. The solenoid was clicking but when I cocked the gun the solenoid would click but not trip the sear. but when i manually pushed the solenoid (fairly hard) it would trip. I have been stumped for the longest time searching forums and finally I gave up.

What Ive checked for/tried:
squished wires
new battery
fresh oil
manually pushing the sear/soleniod (works)

sounds like the soloniod isn't resetting all the way. I had a similar problem, but I can't remember how to fix it.

Does the WAS grip have a dwell setting? Try upping that. Also make sure that the actuator pin is properly seated against the sear itself.

Another new battery perhaps? It's incredible what a new battery will fix.

adjusted dwell all the way up to 50 and put a new battery in now it consistently fires on the third shot (click*click*Bang) so we're making progress ... kinda

Is the stock sear spring installed? There must be enough spring pressure to reset the sear using that spring, The solenoid will then reset and fire correctly.

The stock sear spring (blue) is installed but the solenoid does not have enough pressure to push the spring down until the third shot hence the (click*click*Bang)

So you are thinking then that the spring is too heavy for the solenoid to actuate? Then you might try using a pen spring and stretching it, or cutting it to fit and see where that takes you.

If you have a maddman spring kit laying around the GREEN spring is the lightest out of those.

I didnt know you could do pen spring for the sear spring but it cant hurt

Heres what it sounds like: http://media.putfile.com/gun-problem
P.S. the second cocks were pulling the bolt back that last little cm

O, I just had this very same problem. Here's what Tippmann told me to do. They said the spring I was using did not provide enough force, so they sent me a stronger spring to replace the old one. Be sure to replace the stock spring with the new one that comes with the e-grip. Hope this helps.

There was not a new spring in the box and I think the problem is too much force. more force would just hold the sear in place harder than it already is

*EDIT* heres a pic of the sear spring http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/21216325493.jpg&s=f10

OK GOOD news! The pen spring for the sear worked but with everything good there is something bad. The BAD news is I broke the freaking magnet
anyone know where I can get one for cheap other than tippmann service

I actually broke my magnet and all I did was call Tippmann. They sent a brand new magnet, and I received it in 3 days free of charge. Here's the toll free number: 1-800-533-4831
