I've recieved 50 dollars from my first job and was wondering what i should get, a new mask or a new barrel. The mask is a v-force vantage that replaces my crappy JAVA for 45$ and the barrel is a smart parts linear for 39.99$ CAN. Now because I can only afford one, I have no idea what I should get because both have their downfalls and positives. I could get a new barrel to improve my accuracy but I cannot "accurate" anything if my lense is all fogged up. However, if I get a new mask the 9" barrrel i have presently still has crappy accuracy. I'm in a pickle.

Mask. You can at least hit something with a crappy barrel and and a good mask. I lit up a ref when I had my nVader. I got a new one and I was fine. I was using the Stock COcker barrel too...

I say get a barrel....For now, just buy some no-fog spray for your goggles. Your accuracy will improve with a new barrel.

If your mask doesn't fog up, get a new barrel. If it does fog up, get a new mask. It's how I look at things.

If nothing is wrong with the item, don't bother with it.

I used the first model of V-Force (armour?) for awhile and I recently changed over to a Proto Axis mask. My overall game made me feel for confident since I was more comfortable. A mask will make you feel a lot better when playing. Choose the mask.

Mask. No fogging and way more comfortable. Plus, it's your #1 safety equiptment. Why are you going to slack on that? It's like saying, should you buy a better motorcycle helmet or an upgraded exhuast system.

I'd say go with the mask. I upgraded to my Invisions after a while of playing. Now I shoot better, I'm more calm, I can think straight, I can hear more things around, and I'm an overall more comfortable player. The only safety required in paintball is that you must wear a mask. Well you might as well get a comfortable one that will improve you game overall instead of a barrel which will only improve your accuracy. As long as you get a mask that has a nice design, doesn't fog, and stuff like that, you should be good. Definitely go with the mask FTW.

I bounce up and down at the thought!!! :jumping: Haha, good luck.

save your money longer and get a proflex.

save your money longer and get a proflex.QFT, save up just a bit more and get a proflex or some invisions. Both are great, and have many of the same qualities to them and work out really well.

Yup, I'd save up and get a Proflex/Profiler/some other "high-end" mask.

What is a stock vantage like? Does it really provide fog protection?

Field vantages are horrible pro vantages are much better, not on par with anything like a proflex or profiler though.

I'd save up and get a better mask like the proflex, invision, or one of the vents.

ProFlex, Proto Switch, Vantage, etc.

Search them, then just convert the price using the currency exchange rate.

I say save up for a good thermal barrel. Like the profiler or JT. Canadianpaintball and badlands don't offer the vforce vantage pro. (thermal)

As for the barrel, DON'T GET THE LINEAR! For the love of god! Put in the ten dollars and get the proggressive! It makes a huge difference. My buddy has a linear, its not much better then stock. The proggressive is a really great barrel, I used to have one on my spyder and I loved that barrel.

Either save a little more and get a nice mask, or use it for paint/entry.
