Ok, I have the new WAS board in my 98 Custom, and was wondering what the safest/fastest ROF would be. I am hoping it will be over 20bps, but if not I will be satisfied. ;)

Fixed. Seriously about 15 would be max really anything about 18+ is just wasting paint IMO.

He was asking how fast the W.A.S. could shoot, I just forgot to say how fast its to shoot bust still conserve and be safe.

I didn't think the 98c and pro could cycle fast enough to actually be able to shoot 20+... I know my A5 can't

The thing is, the A-5 can't shoot much faster than 15+ anyway because it has a cyclone feed. My 98 Custom Pro has a reloader B, therefore i was wondering if I could shoot 20+bps without having any chops. I play both speedball and woodsball, therefore I need a higher ROF. In speedball there really is no such thing as "Wasting Paint". Everyone that plays a lot of speedball knows what I mean. In speedball, at least from my observations, people really don't try to conserve paint, they shoot in huge bursts hoping to hit anything possible. :crazy:

The WAS has a max ROF of 30 BPS but the A-5 or 98 Cant cycle that fast. Its fun freeking people out turning it all the way up and just letting it trip the sear.

I think you'll max out at around 20. That's about the limit of the Reloader B feeding through the elbow and the gun's mechanics itself. That's already fast enough.

Actually, The Vortex Mod (see link below on tippmannparts.com) allows you to beef up your A-5's Cyclone and feed up to 25 bps.

The vortex wont let you hit 25 bps. It turns the cyclone into a blender. I know I bought Q loader so I could hit 25 Thats the only way I know to shoot that fast.

If you check out the tippmann link you will see they used it with a act marker and they had a few skips. Without act it means chops. That is not a true 25bps. Q-loader no skips if loaded right. No chops.
