Electra or Ion? that is the question.

Which one should i pick. The electra or the ion. I've read reviews upon reviews on both and i cant pick. which one should i buy?

neither. save your money and watch the classified and e-bay for a good deal on a used med to high-end electro .

if I had to tell someone what low-end gun to buy I would say go with spyder or tippman. they'er reliable and run on co2 or hpa. from my personal exsperince the ion aren't as reliable and they don't work right on on co2.

The Ion is a mid end electro. :rolleyes:

The next highest gun would be a ProMaster, and those cost $369. Then you would get into the high end electros at around $500. Good plan.:dodgy:

Has anyone ever used the rocking trigger on the electra, and if so does it work well ?

i busted out 18.5 bps on a rocking trigger, but you gotta have about and inch space between the tips of ur fingers cuz the activation points are on both tips of the trigger, and that was perfect for me personally, cuz ive got huge hands and so i could space my fingers out a lot to really rip on it, but it definitely takes some getting used to

You got 18.5 bps? How could you tell....Unless you Goldwaved it, most other ways to measure bps aren't very reliable.

This is never going to end. Just buy an Ion over the Electra. End of story. This has been asked maybe once every couple days.

That's pretty close to 18 BPS, I set my 'Timmy to 18 BPS full auto, and it sounds pretty close/insync.

Its not the gun its the player theres tons of kids at my local arena with ions and electras while me any my friend have two spyders and we pwn them personally i dont think it makes a difference if u have a electra an ion or just a cheaper spyder with an electric frame as long as its electric its all good because i doubt most of you can pull faster then 14bps in a game.

to make ur decision u have to see if ur local shop will let u test them, and make ur decision from there, by personal preference i like the electra, but that is obviously biased. but its a gun that not alot of people have which is also why i like it.

Neither! The Electra is WAY overpriced and it isn't that great it just has a rocking trigger. The Ion is way over-rated and all the little 12 year olds are running around with them. Save up $50 and get a ICD ProMaster. They are way better than both the Electra and Ion.

I know but sometimes the gun gets you a different mindset. When I first got my Ion I felt like I was going to own that day and funnily enough I played 10X better. Go me. So get the Ion it's cheaper.:tup:

I have used the ion and an 05 elctra and i prefered the electra. THe rocking trigger is awesome if you have good control over your fingers. I put a ricochet hopper on it and it worked just fine. I f you don't like that than get an egg. A 20oz co2 will work just fine.
