we play paintball in an abandoned factory yard. buildings and windows and trees and everything. plenty of hiding. we usually have 4 people. its great. its just small enough to garuntee action, but big enough where we dont use too much paint. well my friend apparently hates losing. cuz the past 2 times we've played, he just hide. after today he was bragging how he only got shot once. we *****ed at him and told him we only saw him once. his own teamate was mad because he told hi to stay put and wait for us to find them. he takes all the fun out of it. he hates losing to me, since im the better player. he used to be too agressive. alot of the area is wide open, and he'll just run. we say he has "master cheif" sydrome. so now he whimps out and just hides.
what should i say to him without pissing him off too much. should i not invite him next time and see if the game is more fun?

You're jumping to conclusions that your friend is a poor loser. How do you know he just doesn't want to get hit like those 11 year old kids who have just started?

we know he hates to lose. hes a big HALO freak. and him and his brother r sore losers in halo. and i everytime its me n him left in the game he quits saying "im gonna lose anyway" and other excuse to not finish the game. hes gotten hit plenty of times be4. so hes used to getting hit. when we first took up paintball a couple months ago, he was recklessly agressive, and it was getting him lit up, cuz im a more relaxed player who prefers to flank and not be seen. i move around and am never in one spot for long. but ill stay in cover. well now he just finds a spot and doesnt move from it. today he acually boarded up the window and a door of a building, and sat indian style for an hour guarding the only entrance. it was a cheap way to play and knew he couldnt lose. just somewhere along the line he lost the will to actually give himself a challenge. i lost today. i got shot out of 2 of the 4 games. one of em was by a guy whos only played twice. it just pisses us off. cuz he doesnt play anymore. he'll just sit there and not shoot at anyone, then quit when we start closing in on him.

I'd bring more people, have all of them talk about an intense "firefight" all of you had, and after a while, he will just get bored of his little game... Or not come.:|

Why would your friend be wearing his mask on his torso? Is he really afraid of being hit in the stomach? How small is his torso?

How about you pick him to be on your team and make him stay infront of you at all times and if your behind a bunker or something grab him by the shirt and lift him up and maybe if he sees people shooting at him maybe he'll fet mad and shoot back.

Play a game, and when everyone else it out yell "it's all right, you can come out now, all the loud, scary noises have gone away"; then go and grab some pop and chips.

Play a game like capture the flag or something where he will lose if he doesnt move.

just start a game and leave. Like go eat lunch somewhere without him.
be like "oh, sorry, we forgot about you. We all got hungry after the firefight while you were camping."
or stumble upon his hiding place and light him up even if he's on your team. tell him your mask was fogged.
