I don't know but so many of them just popped it was impossible to play yesterday, now i don't know i don't think it was the gun, because last 2 times i was shooting 32* winter fill and i had 0 breaks. THis time nothing was changed in the setup and just so many of them broke. do you guys think it might have been because of the temperature which was about 45*

It could of been the temp. Or they were old.

My friend bought a 1000 round box of marbleizers and everytime i looked over at him he would fire maybe two and then a big purple cloud would spray out. it was maybe 50, 55 degrees out and he must have broken more than he shot. i had Zaps and i only broke 2 out of 400 with a stock barrel(we both had the same gun).

I've only ever used Marbs (the magenta) and never had a problem with them breaking...and I've played in cold weather before.

What kind of barrel are you using? Small bore? Or are you chopping paint?

well i use a SS DYE 12" i think it just breaks in the barrel that's what it looks like anyway, i never had problems with 32* winter fill, not one ball was broken, i'm serious not even one out of 6,000 that i shot

I think in cold weather you would have more problems with Marbs bouncing then breaking. I had a problem with Marbs once but it turned out to be a barrel match problem and not a Marbs problem. I use a BOA Snake Bite barrel on my Micromag with Marbs and no breaks.

Could of been old paint or just a bad batch. I really haven't had that much trouble with Marbs. You might try them again sometime.

It might have been a bad match but the thing that probably made them brake was the fact that stainless steel gets super cold especially if you are shooting co2. When the balls get shot through a super cold barrel at 200 mph the forces at work on the shell are just to much and the shell brakes. What kind of gun were you shooting? and w/nitro or co2?

co2 and spyder compact deluxe

You might try Diablo Blaze paint. I bounced one of them off a rock once from about 10 feet. I shot 2000 rounds with no barrel breaks.

Are the red marbs worse than the green? At Galyans ( a local sports store) they were 5 bux less so i bought those but i still had a few green left. I think i chopped one green. Then, at first i wasnt chopping any red but now ive started chopping 1 out of every 10 of 'em and it was a warm day.

I hope you are talking about Red Marbelizers and not the Red Galyans paint they sell, that stuff chops about 1/10 shots.

I bought a box of Marbelizers (green) and not one has broke. I'm about 3/4 into the box.

I'm surprised you had that much trouble with Marbs. It had to be the barrel and paint match. Check out the forums and you wil see that 9 out of 10 people like them. I would try some PMI and see how you like it.
