How many balls should I be able to shoot w/ a nitro 48 3000 setup on a fresh fill?

That depends on the gun

Average marker that is neither efficient nor inefficient should get 10 shots per ci on a 3k tank. I.E. 48ci 3000psi tank should yield around 480 shots. If you have a more efficient marker it can go to almost double that, or if you have a low efficient marker (like a shocker) it can be as low as half that. For 4500psi tanks, take the 3k number, then add half of it (or just 15 shots per ci). So a 48ci 4500psi tank would yield ~720 shots on the average marker.

Ugh, I don't believe in that hippy 10 shots per cu crap. A Revenge V2 can get around 1500 shots off a 68/3K, so a good tuned cocker should be able to get 800 out of that 48, whereas a matrix would be looking at... I dunno, 4 shots, 4 and a half maybe
note: The matrix comment was another pathetic attempt at humor. They would get between 4 and 5 hundred shots from a 48/3K

Notice I said 'average marker' that is 'neither efficient nor inefficient'. Like a Spyder. My cocker gets about a case off of a 68ci 4500psi, which is double an average marker. I didn't say the average number of shots, I said the average marker... slightly different.
Ex. of a 48ci 3kpsi
Marker A = 800 shots.
Marker B = 600 shots.
Marker C = 480 shots.
Marker D = 450 shots.
Marker E = 350 shots.
The average number of shots is well above 480, but the average marker is about 480. (In case you were wondering A = good cocker, B = impy, C = Spyder, D = Mag, E = Shocker, although I'm really pulling all of these numbers out of my... hey hey kids, wasn't that great?)

Wow, thx for the help! How do Nitro shots compare to the amount of co2 shots?

Generally speaking, for the same size tank you'll get less shots on nitro than you would on CO2, which is why nitro tanks are alot bigger than CO2 tanks. However, despite the increase in size, the fiber wrapped ones are ALOT lighter than a CO2 tank that would give a similar number of shots
