It's basicly the same as an ion, it have a board, battery and a solenoid.
when you press the trigger an electrical signal go to the board and activate what ever you have it on line semi, 3 shot, or full auto, then the board send the signal to the solenoid whitch at the same time hit the sear and make the gun shoot. if you own an ion just think about the grip in the ion.

It depends on wether your board is a WAS or standard tippmann model

There's two little holes under the trigger. You use this little screwdriver thing(no idea what it's called but you get it with your egrip and it can be used on other things as well) and you insert it in the top hole to change the modes. Every other turn of the adjuster changes modes or turns it off. If you have it in semi and turn it one click, it will be turned off.
The other hole is the rof adjuster. Turning it left turns the rof down and right turns it up. Be careful and go easy on this adjuster. The first time adjusting mine I broke the little thing off and had to get it replaced by tippmann(which ended up in me getting mine replaced and then another free one so it's all good)
