this has to be one of the stupidest questions in here but anyway.... the M98 and M98C has 2 different sight mounts so you can get almost any site you can find for it (go to wal-mart or a local hunting store if you don't live by a paintball store)

....i know, i know... i told my friend that too, I said you can buy any scope or sight, and it should fit. He just wanted to know the stores you bought from, preferably online... county is good... but i'll get mine from a local sporting store..
You might have to do a little work to get a Daisy BB gun scope to fit on the Weaver rail. The front sight has to be trimmed a little, and the tube of the scope will hit the elbow. I have not tried the Daisy scope on a raised sight rail, so I don't know how that works.

I don't use a sight, simply because PB guns aren't accurate enought to use them. If you, or your friend wants a sight, get a reflex sight, keep both eyes open to avoid tunnel vision.
Scopes are useless unless you wanna survey the playing area. I just bought a Lapco raised sight rail, not so much for aiming, it helps, but it also looks cool!

Wtf? I fits just fine because this was the first scope I bought for my tippy. You don't need to trim anything to put it on unless your trying to put it on a different way than it should be
Well, here were my problems:
The scope tube would press down the front sight thus releasing the elbow. It would catch but just barely. I ended up trimming about 1/8 of an inch off the front sight, so the elbow would latch in place.
I also had to remove the rear dovetail asembly to keep the view as clear as possible.
The Daisy 4x15 scope that I use is about as long as the frame, so the eyepiece touches the rear sight juncture, and the front sight detent. Fortunately there is enough eye relief built into the scope for it to be usable.
The clips do fit the weaver rail, but some adjustment is needed to raise the rear of the scope to a level where the scope can serve as a longer range sight. The built in scope adjustments do not provide enough travel to properly zero the scope at 30 yards.
Perhaps you used a different scope than I did, but I suspect that any 4x15 or larger scope will pose these problems. Using a handgun scope would solve these issues, but they are too expensive.

I've got a Tasco 1x (no magnification really) red dot sight on a Lapco raised sight rail. I would agree with the guy that said to keep both eyes open so you don't get tunnel vision. The red dot is nice to aim quickly...
I bought my Tasco red dot at Meijer...a local store. Got it on clearance. heh.

nooooo I used the daisy 4x15 and it fit just fine . Matter-o-fact im looking at the box it came in right now and its says "Daisy 4x15 Air Rifle Scope"
Sure it fits fine, but I had to make a few adjustments to it to really make it great. It is clear, and zeroed at about 30 yds @280 FPS.
YMMV, but I could not zero it at this distance without modifying the rear scope ring. The scope was just not designed to accomodate the elevation adjustment necessary to zero a paintball at those ranges. With the adjustment all the way up, the screw was loose, the view cloudy, and the paintball still short of the mark.
Perhaps a raised sight rail has a built in elevation adjustment, but the weaver rail on the gun does not.
Heres what I have on my gun. I don't use these for day games though.. you don't need a sight if you can see where the paintballs are going.
