I got this idea after looking at the Barrel/Paint thread ... Why not do the same for the Freak.
Freak insert: (color or size)
Paints that Work: (paint that fit the insert)
Just copy the two categories above, fill in the blanks, and post in this thread.

Freak insert: .693 gold insert
Paints that Work: 32 degrees competition (this paint is three weeks old, I'll retest with some fresh paint this weekend).

isnt this why u buy the freak so u can use any paint? or is this thread for those are to lazy to try to find the right insert for their paint? i know mine change based on weather and temp. so i check my insert like in the morning before i start, like 11 and then at like 2 or so.

O btw, considering this is all about the freak, i was wondering what is the best way to get the inserts out, and should u oil them before u put them in so they come out easier?

I push mine out with a pencil (the eraser side). I wouldn't oil it personally, but some people do that sort of thing

I tell ya what Blink, you are one A SStute person, we can't slip anything past you ...
However, some people, us poor lowly Noob types, might find something like this helpful.

Freak insert: (color or size) green .691
Paints that Work: (paint that fit the insert)
32 degrees competition (fresh)
new packaging helps keep competiton round; instead of a four way divider, Competition now has a sturdy carboard divider that separates the top and bottom of the box. the balls still come in four bags of 500, but the bags are larger, so that they don't mash together when they're vaccum sealed.

I use the .687 insert with green marbilizer,s.But paint sizes vary from batch too batch. So the next batch i might use the .684 insert. So I suggest ,testing your own paint!!!
By the way you don,t have to oil the inserts, but oil the O-rings in your barrel. That way you can just pull them out by sticking your finger inside the insert.
