ok i'm thinking about converting to electro. right now i'm using a java compact with some upgrades (see my signature) I like what i've done to my gun but i'm not sure if i wanna get an impulse (or another cheap electro gun please suggest) or just an electro trigger (suggest type)
thanks for the help

i'm pretty much just trying to figure out if i should get a new electro gun or a new electro trigger frame

If you like your gun now the way its is then you will like it ten times better if you get and electro grip frame. Also it will be alot cheaper then getting a whole new electro gun.

actually it would cost exactly the same, i've put about 250 into my gun so i could probly get 180 for it so i'd need 230 for the impulse, and the electro trigger costs 230 so it'd be the same. but does anybody know how the rof compares between an impulse and an electro trigger (semi-mode is most important to me)

The impulse will perform better than the spyder

true. If I had a decision like that I would go with the frame. I mean if it is already tricked out then you should go with the lcd grip frames......but thats just a suggestion.....

unless your spyder is LP, and has a maxflo reg on it..... lol, impulse could whoop the frames booty

the impulse is a very sweet gun, it shoots paint very fast. I had a chance to shoot a Impulse turbo on Nitro, and one on Co2. The claims that smartparts makes about the gun being able to shoot great using Co2 is true! The gun has very good shot to shot consistency. Running Co2 or Nitro on this gun doesn't really make a difference. In my opinion the Nitro didn't shoot paint any better then the Co2, pretty good huh. The only difference between the Co2 and nitro would be the weight.

On the other hand i have also tried the boo-ya ELCD frame on a spyder 2k. The trigger pull is extremely short, and very sensitive. the trigger shoe is kind of wide, and personally i don't like the fell of the frame but it does it's job very good, it's pretty cool. It would make sense to just get a new gun if you want to go electro.

I highly suggest you get the Impulse. I want to get one now. the best thing about that is, you don't have to pay upwards of 8 or 9 bills for a good electro gun.

thanks alot for all your help, when i go electro i'll go impulse, because it is truely LP and better performing but what about c02, some people say its fine, others say you need to use an antisiphon tank or the reg will freeze up and leak. i've also heard the pin on the bottom line adapter is too long so air will spill out before i can get my air source on.(its said ths is easily remedied by an extra 0-ring) does anybody know if these rumors about co2 are true?

i'm not going electro any time soon i've gotta get a job and i just turned 15 so there's not lots of opportunites and just because you go electro doesn't mean you will use more paint, it just means you have the capacity to do so.

yea but why would u need to shoot so much paint if ur a good shooter 1 ball would get the guy if ur a bad shooter 10 balls would shoot the guy and if u have an electro gun ur goino to be shootin alot of balls

one shot isn't realistic for me. i always shoot in 3 shots anyways(atleast) so if i could put off paint faster itd be in closer groupings and so if i wanted to walk the paint to my target (in my view most practical method on aiming in p-ball) it would go faster and more accuratly.

why did you get a shutter instead of a compact? who cares, of coarse electros suck up more paint, but cover fire helps to

when i tested the Impulse Turbo with Co2 it worked like it was using Nitro! I couldn't tell the difference. The Co2 tank, did not have a anti-siphon tube installed

the only difference between the turbo and standard is there's more modes on the turbo rihgt? it's all in the chip, no differnece in the gun body..?
