no, you dont need an on/off. Just an ASA with fittings. Simply stick it in and lock it down.

No, you can have a steel bradied line or marcroline, your choice.

No, macroline has special elbows into which you insert the line.

CO2 in steel braided line will last an extremely long time, forever really.

CO2 in macro line isn't as good, in the long run it mgiht freeze up, get dry, and crack, but that doesn't happen the first day.

EDIT: Razer made a point, don't leave the CO2 connected over night, just during the time you play.

It can. I sold my friend a gun and he kept telling me the macroline kept busting, he called it "the wire the air goes through". I was wondering what was going wrong until he told me that he left the c02 screwed in all the time. The cold liquid compromised the integrety of the macroline and blew a hole in the side. So yeah, macroline + c02 = bad.
