I was playing a game couple days ago and my gun started double firing just every so often i took apart my gun for the first time not to long before that and i was almost positive i put it together right. So i took it apart to see what was wrong but couldnt find anything.then i played a game that night and it really messed up it double and triple shot many times and it would uncock itself then it shot a couple balls only ten feet or so.

 So does anyone no whats wrong with my gun:confused:

1) if you have any extra rear bolts, rear guide springs, sears compare them and test the other ones. look for any differences like wear and tear where the sear and bolt contact each other. as for the spring it may have worn down its strenght so if you can try using another one. if you dont have extra ones see if anyone will let you borrow one for testing. (look at the bottom of the bolt where the sear catches and see if its worn down.. it may start to angle a bit from the impact and rubbing of the sear as it fires and recocks)

2) try and clean any extra oil on the area where the sear and bolt contact.

if those 2 don't get it let me know.

This is a completely stock gun?

I would say your ball detent is either missing or worn out.

If that's not the gremlin,

Play around with the velocity screw it might be set too high. I once had a problem where my gun would uncock itself that ended up being the problem. Altho I had an R/T

Does it only uncock after you shoot really fast or just randomly.

its the ball detent either missing or in backwards, tippmann ball detents look as if they should go one way to new players, when they should really be put in the other way

Yea I will shoot my gun and it randomly uncocks itself it happened three times in a short half an hour game. And as for the ball dedent im pretty sure its in the right way. But i may have put the sear and it's spring in the wrong way cause the spring flew out and i put it back what i thought was the right way. there may be too much oil at the sear. But I ran out of gun oil and i had some pellet gun oil and i used that to oil my gun could this have caused a problem? Cause paintball and pellets use air to propel themselves so i thought well this stuff should be fine. I have to paintball today so help would be much apreciated. and whats the gremlin??

first off go to the uber sticky and look at the tippmann problem guide. and i would still look at the detent. also, if the lubricant was in an aerosal can it would damage the gun, and your sear cannot be in backwards, otherwise your gun would not fire, and you cant really put the spring in backwards, lol

deffinately check the sear and rear bolt, just call tippmann at 1-800-533-4831 and have them send you spare parts just incase

When I took it apart the whole entire front bolt was covered in paint so I must have chopped a ball. So did i accidently disable the act? And i can't figure out how to put pictures on it says the pic is too big.

EDIT:I figured out how i disabled the act i put the pin in the hole but it should be in that groove with the spring.

wouldnt you notice your whole bolt being covered in paint if you really took your gun apart the first time before you wanted us to answer your question? guess not...
