What r the strengths of the boomstick and a flateline?
How do dey compare?
I know the maintenance on the flateline can be annoying. :D
And what kind of paints can both take?

It depends on what you want to use it for. The Flatline just has more range and that is all there is to it.

The guy is right... your on a site that has the most extensive collection of reivews on the planet. READ SOME OF EM! Also its really your preference. I am gonna geta FlatLine. The Boomsticks are somewhat overrated. Don't get me wrong there damn good barrels and are very quiet. As with all other Barrels they do shoot shorter distance than flatline. No other barrel can reach that kinda distance... I've had people tell me 200 feet. Its a 14" group at that distance I think it was. Sound sorry doesn't it? Well at that range any other barrel would be luck to reach it unless you wanna lob it in. Anyway. If you get it adusted right, IN WHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO ADJUST IT. Theres a little bit of adustments with it to make it shoot perfectly. But its not hard when you get use to it. It will out shoot and out range any other barrel out there. Now people WILL tell you it sucks and shoots ****ty. but most if not all did not install or adjust the barrel right. You have to adjust it. Also if you get the flatline it does break a little bit more than others, comes from adjustments again. also it has to be shot perfectly vertical. By that I mean the handle MUST BE PERPEDICULAR TO THE GROUND. Else were it curves. You can shoot around trees, Literaly. you may concider getting anotehr cheaper barrel with it so you can change out if you need to. I'd recomenta CP 1 peice classic or the GTA sniper Barrel. or just take your stock barrel.

I think once you shoot the Flatline, if you haven't, you will like it. When you see your first paintball sail away into space you will realize just how far a paintball can really travel. It always fun to stand out in the open and shoot paintballs over the other teams heads while their's drop in front of you.

I have a boomstick and I love it, I have played with flatlines and I thought they were average, you have to shoot them different because of the spin. You will get more distance tho. The boomy is quieter. It all depends on how you play.

I'd say boomstick cuz with a flatline all you cans hoot is marbalizers. My friend was even using slams that are preety much just marbalizers with writing and even they broke it was funny though cuz he had just gooten it. He learned how to clean it fast, he had to lol

I would agree with the above posters that the only thing the Flatline has going for is the range but I do love the range.

I heard that balls bounce a lot more often with the flatline, because the upspin makes the balls "float in", almost. If you don't want to spend on the boomstick, which I recommend, get the ultralight.
