Hi,

I'm just now getting into paintball, but just a little too late. My friends all have gone onto better guns, such as the BrassEagle Avenger, and 2 Tippmann 98's. Well, they keep teasing me about it, and I am going to show them that you can still win with a pump action marker. I like BE ones becasue they are cheap and ok to start with. I have narrowed it down to a Tigershark and a Talon. I like the Tigershark, but the price is a tad bit to high, yet I've heard some good stories about the Talon, which is cheaper. Which one should I get?

I would go with the talon mostly because they are both pretty bad and the talon is half the $ plus when its over and you get a real marker you'll have the same size, the same weight, and same amount of firewood that you would with th tigershark for a lot less. I just playing man but i think the talon I guess

IOf you buy a pump when competing with tippies you'll regret it later, believe me.Because then you cant keep up with them and then youll want a semi and youll have wasted your money on a pump.get an avenger or a Jt 4.0(4.0 kicks arse!).then if you get a 4.0 youll have a lot of upgrades already on it and then your gun will be better then theirs.get the 4.0 at www.paintballgear.com on sale for $110***hats a very good price for it.

Pumps can compete with tippies, and win! I play with a pump and I beat people! ok, I would go with the tiger shark. it is so much better than the talon. Also, you could get a new barrel for it, and you wont have to use 12 grams. ( yeah, I know the constant air thing, but Its expensive). Just my opinion, but you decide.

i have seen many pump players play among semi users, and I think it's great that they make the effort to do so. And yes, i have seen them take out very capable semi users.

i went to play just yesterday with my aci maverick and i was playing against 5 rental tippmanns and i took 2 of them down on my own so yes a good pump player can hold their own and i would have to suggest looking into a aci maverick you can find them for $65 and they (in my eyes) are way better than any BE

to bring all the newbies to speed, if you want to save money, time, and know that your gonna probably stay in the sport for a while, get a Tippmann or a Spyder or a PMI or something like that. they are the best starter guns, plus they can be upgraded Lots more than a BE. and BEs are the least dependable markers too. too many people have bought a BE and quit thinking that all paintball guns are like that. i think BE does more bad than good for paintball
