Hi to everyone
I'm new at this forum, but I'm very susprise about the quality of the topics and the interest that everyone gives to the Threads.
I'm from Brazil and I'm interested in manufacturing paintballs here.
If anyone could help or give me any tips I'll be very happy.
Thanks to everyone again

There are short documentary videos on "How Paintballs are Made." Here is one of the most popular, as featured on the Discovery channel: -

You might also want to e-mail or contact a major paintball making manufacturer to get more details on the topic.

Thank you very much

Here is a page with multiple contactable places - to the most experienced, and well pade paintball manufacturers in the world that will help you: - http://www.xballpaintballs.com/Contacts_e.asp.
Here is a small, brief sumary of how a paintball is made, taken from http://www.sudden-impact.co.uk/howpaintballsaremade.html: - Paintballs are made by dye encapsulating machines. These machines, worth a considerable amount of money, also are used to make encapsulated drugs such as gel-caps and even bath beads. It is not surprising, then, that most (if not all) paintball manufacturers are pharmaceutical companies.
The actual process is rather involved and technical, but in a nutshell here it is. Two wide ribbons of softened gelatin are fed into the machine. These two strips are joined by two counter rotating drums that have dozens of concave 'pockets'which form the paintball. At the same time the drums also inject fill in between the gelatin strips and seal the seams thus forming the paintball. The paintballs are still very soft because the gelatin of the shell is still warm, and are placed in a tumblers (to ensure roundness) until they are cooled and hardened enough for the next stage. They are then set on trays and left out to continue hardening. A special machine packages the paintballs by weight, although a case of paint is sold by quantity. In a case of 2500 you will get, on average, from 2490 to 2510 paintballs.
The paint used is both biodegradable and water-soluble. Basically it is mineral oils, food colouring, calcium, ethylene glycol, iodine and other harmless chemicals. If left in clothing for a period of months, it will stain otherwise it just washes out.

Bye
"bye" as in byebye (or see you later) is spelled with an E
"by" is more used for things like "written by"
your grammar is alot better than people that i've seen on these forums :)
haha
i hoped my little "by" and "byebye" thing was understandable
if not, then dont worry about it
now, on topic, are there places to buy paintballs in your area???

No problem correting my grammar. In fact I prefer writing this way - By - althought I know it´s wrong.
Returning to the spot -
Brazil is a continental country, Here we have few places to buy paintball stuff - anykind of it - and all, that I know, it´s imported.
That´s why I´m interested manufacturing paintballs here - I think that Paintball have a good market here and It could grow if we begin to produce ours stuff. The ball is a start.
Thanks for the help and anything I could help from here just name it.

You know that those machines arent cheap right? Then you add all the materials and packaging supplies and you better have alot of money to start with. Hopefully your business will get going and you will slowly make your money back.
