Played at Happauge (sp) last night. I have mixed feelings about the place. The fields are nicley set up and cleaned well between games. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The one problem I saw with the staff was when a guy bought a case of paint (Blaze or Midnight) and most of the balls were dimpled or footballs and when he showed it to one of the staff they told him "sh|t happens." He then showed the paint to someone who I believe was a manager and they came to some sort of remedy. I think they replaced the unused paint but I'm not positive.

One of the things I like about HV is the floor. It's well cushioned and not too hard on the knees. That isn't so at Happauge. The floor is hard as a rock. Knee pads are a must at this place.

As the night went on the fields became very crowded. I don't mind sharing a bunker, but three guys behind a little stand-up cone is a bit much. The reffing was very good. One thing Iwould like to see is more tables in the staging area/lounge and lockers would also be nice. There is no dedicated chrono area and as a result Igot shot in the leg walking onto the field while the ref was chronoing people just inside the field entrance. You had to walk right in front of the chrono to get onto the field. The fill station guy needs to learn what a slow fill is, he scared me!

Over all Ihad a good time. The place just needs to grow a little and I'm sure it will evolve into "the" indoor field on Long Island.

Remember they were going to open i two weeks, but opened early for winter reccess. Also, near the bathroom there are some lockers. About 50 i would guess, so there are your lockers. That paint incident is very bad. That should never had happened. And the chrono area is also bad. They have plenty of room to set one up.
