oil question

what oil or grese should i use when oiling the promaster. ive herd that dow 33 or dow 44 works good but i cant find any of these, ive went to like 6 differnt hardware stores and no one has even herd of the stuff. i did find silocone spray. would this be ok to use.

lol ppl who work in hardware stores havent heard of Dow? :tdown: thats like working in a paintball shop and not knowing what macroline is.

you can also use shocker lube, radioshack lube, evil pus, etc if you cant find Dow 33. i've heard of ppl using silicon spray, i'm sure that works too but ive never tried it.

When I had my Tippmann 98 I used Loctite lubricator.

if you have a scuba shop near by, get some Trident pur silicone lube. its dirt cheap and works better than everything else ive used.

no i sware ive called all the hardware stores in my area and none of them herd of it including about 3 auto motive stores.

is evil pus liguidy or gresey?

ya seems pretty good just went and picked up some at my local proshop.
oh i forgot to ask what should i lube before i use the gun. lpr hpr and ram?
is the hpr the same as the inline reg or is it differnt and if so were is it located.

lube the hpr for sure, everything else will be fine, the hpr is the vert reg

so leave the lpr for now. when should i oil this? is there intructions in the manual about taking apart and reasembaling the hpr. do i ever want to lube the derlin bolt or will this ruin it?

thanks for the help. i just want to make sure i know as much as posible about it so i keep every thing in working order and do every thing right.

that shows you how to take apart and lube the inline.

you dont need to lube the bolt. delrin bolts work best without lube. that reason, along with weight, is why bolts are made out of delrin.

you might also want to check the ram and see if it is lubed. if it already is well lubed, dont worry about it. but if it isn't, then lube it. put lube on the o-rings on the ram housing, and use a qtip to put some lube on the inside of the ram housing as well (make sure no fuzz from the qtip somes off), then cycle the ram back and forth a few times.
