The AMG like most (if not all) of the Spyder's have aftermarket parts available so you could fix them up pretty nice. I have not seen any JT upgrades yet.:D

The Jt is not going to have any upgrades. The marker comes supposely tricked out already from factory. But there has been reported cases with some prob. with them. Over all once the nick nacks are delt with it's a pretty good marker. My recommendation is to go to the review section and read what people wrote with these 2 markers. But if you lookin to these type of markers. I highly suggest you look into the

WGP E-Ranger
Armotech Evo

alot of people have been pleased with these 2 markers and they are practically in the same price range or cheaper. with alot of extras

I just bought an excellerator 6.0 and it rocks. I was also looking at an amg but they are not worth the money. At www.shop4paintball.com i got my excellerator for 188 including shipping and the as for upgrades it takes almost all spyder parts. :)

The only thing you can get on the 6.0 is a barrel which is spyder threaded, and a low rise feed port which is angel threaded. But in regards to an upgrade like a bolt, a valve, etc. there's no upgrades and no they are not interchangable with spyder I already tried. I wanted to change the bolt the valve. to try to make it LP but no luck. The only thing you probably can get is a new reg. for it but the one it has now is good enough. I found a company that will be making upgrades for this marker in the next month or so. with a titanium bolt, and some other stuff. it's www.darkhorizoncorp.com

The AMG LCD makes the excellerator look like a damned joke gone bad. You can't compare the two in anything but the fact that they are both electro.

The excellerator TALKS... big deal, from what I've seen of them they need to install a voice prompt that says "I've busted an o-ring." Believe me you could set it to say that on 10 minute intervals and it would still be moderatley accurate.

The Spyder on the otherhand, is actually low-pressure (I believe in the nieghborhood of 200psi with a higher flowing valve system.) Is reliable (atleast a lot more reliable then the excellerator.) Has about any aftermarket part you want (You can even make it a true electro! Oh wait you can do that to ANY spyder with the ACI sonic conversion kit.)

If you havent guessed my answer yet it is without a doubt the AMG.

I would like to know where you got the info. that the AMG is low pressure because from the owners manual i read it's almost the same as the 6.0, And about the voice prompt you can shut it off same as the vibration mode. But in regards the o-rings situation i have to agree, that happened to me they put gummy o-ring in the gun. i had to replace all of them but now no problems. It's a minor mishap. I've known to happen to high expensive markers, it's no big deal. The decision is personal preference, because there are better guns than the AMG, and the 6.0 for the same price or even cheaper.
like the E-ranger, Armotech Mars evo. you have to research and find which is the one you like and fit your needs.

^^^ I get the low pressure information from trying out the guns; I have tried both and the AMG out performs the 6.0 in almost every aspect...

I'm not saying that the 6.0 is TERRIBLE; infact it would be alot more popular if they fixed it's little kinks (like it's notorious o-ring destroying) and priced it down a little more.

My point is that as far as price/performance goes, when comparing the two the AMG is way up in front.

And yes I agree for the price you could get a better gun than either of them... BKO's are only a bit over $200

i agree w/ the bko, i ran up to a guy selling a 2003 buschmaster w/PDS for only 380 in brand in the box condition.

the AMG runs pretty low pressure around 300PSI stock if i can remember correctly. That's about 2 and a hlaf times lower than most spyders. its realyl great, go for it.

I've played with my buddy's JT 6.0 a couple times....nothing special. Pretty short trigger pull, but not very smoothe, and this thing chops like no other if you decide to use cheap paint. My friend had VL paint....pretty messy.
