How do 12volt Hopper prevent breaks?

People say that if you get a 12 volt hopper that you won't get breaks. I don't understand this because I thought that breaks were caused by the bolt or barrel. Could someone please explain how the hopper physically prevents breaks?

it forces the paintballs into the power feed at a rate of 12 balls per second. It doesnt affect ball break in the barrl, but chopping balls. Becasue it feeds the balls into the gun, u dont fire faster then they are coming down, so u dont hit the paintball before it drops fully into the gun, which is what happens when chop a ball.
