Im into scenario games and want to start carrying a sidearm w/ me while i play...what would be a good sidearm? I triedthe pt extreme and had trouble with it loading more than one ball into the barrel. But if you have any suggestions im open to any and all.Thanks.

you could try the pgp. they make the weirdest sound compared to other pbguns. they're pretty accurate, too.

If I were you I would get a semi auto just so you don't have to pump, unless you like to play in tournements PGP's are wonderful for stock play
Yip, Take a PGP. I have a PGP2,I would use it at the field if I could get an adapter so I could run a CO2 tank off it.
You should try the sidekick mod or stock. I got a mod a while back and its worked great. Its only about 80 bucks and in my opinion it is much better than the pgp. It's more accurate (tested mine at about 80 feet with an adco red dot site and I hit a target 4'' by 5'' on my first shot), its lighter (less than a pounwd fully loaded), its cooler looking, and it has a lifetime warranty. I'm not too sure about the sidekick semi, I've never tried one. But the mod is the only gun I use now (I play on my land with a few friends, just pistol fights). You should take a serious look at it. I got a sidekick semi for $98 only a few months after they first came out. It has very decent accuracy and range, and the velocity is easily adjusted. It's a little long lengthwise, but that doesn't really bother me. The gun will hold ten balls at a time. Also, since I got mine early on, I had the original spring-load system. To load my gun, I remove a spring-load tube from the front of the gun, and pour in the balls. However, newer sidekicks have a loading system where you load one ball at a time into the magazine and then release the spring. While reloading is a little slower, this is a good improvement beacause a couple of times the plug on my gun came out and I lost all my ammo without knowing it.
Servicewise, you can't go wrong. Paintballstuff with fix any problem with your gun for $20, or replace it for the same price if necessary. A few months ago, I mistakely cracked the pierce pin (my fault) for the CO2, but had another one free in 4 days.
Overall, I would recommend the sidekick semi to someone looking for a sidearm. It's a tough muh-f**ker, and is worth the money.

I have a PTX, but haven't tried any other pistols, so I can't suggest one over another. When I first tried mine out I had a ball roll out the barrel, so I know what you're talking about...however, I fixed that problem :badboy: It's pretty simple. All I did was take a normal number 2 pencil and placed the eraser into the hole that the ball detent rests in to make it fit. Then I shaved it off so that it was only out a 1/8 of an inch thick. I place the eraser bit into the hole and then cut about that much off the top of the ball detent so that it would stick further into the barrel. I was using a exacto knife to cut it. That's it! It hasn't double loaded since and I never had another ball roll out the barrel. So, if that's all that was tripping you up, you have something else to consider.

yeah, the pt extreme is a greta sidearm for big scenario games. the extreme's are very accurate and they shoot fast for a sidearm marker.

I also have a pt extreme, they shoot fast very good if i could just get it to stop double loading, i'll try what Zero1 says. Also, u got to have a holster. My dad took out 2 people out of 4 and then had to surrender with the pt extreme. It has accuracy and range for a pistol. I think it would be sweet if i got the 9inch barrel for

I have a PGP also, toughest thing made. Although the gun is pretty heavy, it's never broke on me or had crappy accuracy or range. I also use a Sheridan XGS Jackal for a sidearm sometimes. I just keep the mini hopper in my BDU Jacket pocket then attach it in about 3 seconds when I need it. Also the Jackal is really cheap, semi auto, and light, so it won't be a problem to run with it holstered. I've actually had no problems with my Jackal, and I bought it used too! The range and power on the Jackal is good enough for E&E(Escape & Evasion).
I think that for the purpose of evading enemy fire till you can go back to your primary, the Jackal does quite well.

Anoyone ever use a PT Prefessional?
They're supposed to be based on the enforcer, but better than the extreme.

isn't that like the 3rd varient to come out in as many months on the enforcer?

Yeah. It's new. According to the review, it's a god gun. It doesn't seem to have that leaking problem that plagues so many other pistols.
Still, it's no squall. But, then again, you don't have to pay for a squall when you get this. Damn, I miss the splatmasters.

I know the sidekick is good, but does it require a lot of repairs and how does it compare to the PT Pro

I don't know. I've never used a sidekick, and my PT Pro hasn't arrived yet.

Most of the sidearms on the market have some sort of issue. The PT Enforcer just plain sucks. The PT Pro and whatever the other one are basically Pt Enforcers, but they have resolved most of the issues. They still aren't perfect. I had a PT Extreme, and was very disappointed with it. They are big (no I mean big, when i took it out of the box i was like :drop: i mean, this thing is monstrous. They double feed (easily fixed) and are plagued by low velelocity. By the time you put many hours of work into it so that it shoot at a decent speed (260-270FPS) you realize that this wasn't worth the price, nor the time. It might as well be a BE gun, the quality is the same. The best by far are the Palmer Squall, and the AGD Sydarm. The Squall is around $600, so it's out of most people's price range. The Sydarm is the perfect 'gun. However, it is only available to military and law enforcement officers as a training device :bawling: , so we are all screwed. This leaves the various Sidekicks. These are great guns. They have the Mod and Stock, which i don't own, but have used. The two semi auto ones are the Sidekick semi, ans the Sidekick short. These are both great. They are light, and durable )yes they are made out of polymer. Yes that's a plastic. The same plastic that Glocks are made out of!:wink2:) Since this post is long enough, here are a couple of website that are useful (sorry i don't know how to do hyperlinks, this is my second post, if someone could inform me, I would be gratefully :dunce:)

go with something cheap (pgp, sidekick ofr enforcer)
you really only need it if your primary gun jams. I know this may sound stupid but... There are plans to make an air cannon that is fairly small so you can use it as a sidearm. you can launch 20 balls at once. good for those higly out numbered situations. I'm planning on building one :D
