Ok so I was watching a video and this guy takes a superman into the snake. Now when he hits the ground his hopper falls off and roles out of bounds. A person out of bounds then tosses his hopper back to him from out of bounds to in bounds. Is this legal? I guess it's just a minor question I've been pondering.

Nope, it's outside interfrence. Outside coaching isn't even permitted, except in X-ball.

No, it's not legal. What kind of video was it? A pro video, or just a video of someone at the local feild. Most refs don't do their jobs very well, if it happens to you, report it after the fact, but usually you can't do anything about it.

Since the rules say that any part of your equipment (except pods) count as a part of the player, if your equipment goes out of bounds, then you are out of bounds.

a real player would have called himself out when that happens... it has happened to me a few times and then i totaly upgraded my gear
that kind of cheating is not tolerated by me or any 1 else on my team

Ok well I watched it again and looks like a very competative rec game and I don't see any out of bounds lines but I still see a ref or spectator throw his hopper back to him. Here it is: http://www.darksidevideo.org/hottestvideos/0/91a49813-af34-469c-91a9-748e5e1ca185.htm
EDIT: It's a little past the middle in the video.

its a rec/practice game.

If it's a rec/practice game, I'd let him play on. If it's a tournament game with points/standings at stake with a clearly marked out of bounds line, then he's out. Usually the outside interference is a non issue since spectators aren't that close to the playing area and are generally behind the net.

He probably got a huge surprise after putting that hopper right back onto his gun.

What? If that happens to you, you get a pod out and start loading by hand until a ref pulls you. NEVER call youself out on anything except for an obvious hit.

It looked like that Halo was 5 feet away when it stopped rolling. Even without him moving.

you don't need to move when your loader flies all the way out of bounds. noob.

So if your loader flies 6 feet out of bounds, are you going to call yourself out or keep playing until the refs calls you out?

what song was that?
depending on the ref he probably would've been called since his hopper appeared to go more than 5 feet away...even if it didnt he wouldve been screwed since it was out of bounds. if someone threw it to him it would probably be a 1 for 1, or at the least an elimination of the player.

5 foot rule is not played the same as an obvious/unobvious hit.
