forst i would have put this is some marker forum but every reply would be biased tward which ever one i put it in so i just chose the genral one, right now i have an auto cocker that just isn't cutting it and with the prices of uns dropping so rapidly i figured it would just be cheaper to buy a new one, first off i only play woods ball, and only like 10 times a summer. i'm trying to decide if i should buy a promaster and get an hpa tank for about 400 total or if i should get a 98 custom which would be well suited for woodsball and get a few upgrades, like a barrel kit, and the low pressure kit (to take advantage of the fatty stabilizer i bought for my autococker) and just go with that. and i think the prices would come out even in the end

If you play only woods and not that often, then the 98 with some ups would be a great choice or better would be an A5. Both are great guns and have alot of upgrades and you can practically play all day, go home and throw them in the closet and next time you play they will shoot just as good as the last time you used it. Not that you would want to do that, but they are tough as nails.

A Promaster would make an awesome gun too if your looking for light and fast and something electronic. Looked used and you will find them around $200 or so.

For my money, I would go A5 or Promaster.

Check out the BT line up. They're almost the same as the A5, but cheaper and they look cooler.

Out of the choices I'd say promaster. It's the better gun of the two. And if a gun is good then it is good in both woods and speedball.

IMO I'd definitely check out used deals on both Ions and Promasters. I know that you can get extremely up'd Ions for cheap and I'm guessing that Promaster's resale is just as bad.
