I want to put a reg on and would like to know the cheapest/most efficient way to do so. I own a Spyder TL and as everyone knows spyders have metric threads. The TL also doesnt have a vertical adapter so to add a regulator I have to buy a bunch of adapters I was just wandering if anyone had any tips for the "operation".

If you want to go the cheap way, buy a kingman reg. You won't need a vertical adapter, but it's not a very good reg and your x-chamber will become completly unsusefull since the reg is placed before him. If you want a better reg, you have to buy a vertical adapter. You can get one for 30-40$

I was thinking about an Air America Vigilante. Would I also need a new bottomline or at least a thread adapter?

You will need a vertical adapter if you want to install a vigilante on you gun. By the way, vigilante regs are only for compressed air and don't work with co2. They are the best for compressed air use.

Realy? I e-mailed the tech help at the store I was going to get it from and he said it could be used for either. Do you have any recomendations for a good Co2 regulator (money is an object). Thanks.

Palmer stablizers run very well on c02. They are about $75-90.
Or if money is a real problem you could buy a used WGP reg that comes with the autococker.

i agree. I woulda gotten a PAlmer stabelizer, but my freind had a cocker and he had gotten a Vigilante, so he just gave me his stock WGP Reg. It's not the greatest, but it still regulates teh Co2 fairly well and i'm satisfied with it. If anything, get the Palmer Stabelizer. It's worhth the money

Thanks, lots of good info. It sounds like the stabilizeris the way to go but I don't know of any stores that carry it. I live in Portland Oregon and the selection of paintball stores here is truly sad so I do all of my shopping online. Anyone an online store that sells the Palmer Stabilizer?

Bigboystoys or G3 has them. go to either http://www.bbtpaintball.com or http://www.g3pb.com. for big boys toys, go to catalog, then air, then regulaters, remotes section. for G3pb go to the catalog section, then click the regulator button. Hope this helps.

you might also want to do research on MacDev's new inline reg. I am not sure how it works on CO2, but I hear it is awesome on HPA. http://www.macdev.net

i heard they are nice but i wouldn't get one. If you change guns and you don't want to use co2 any more, and ifyou have an inline reg, you can alwayz just take the reg and put in on your new gun, but if you have the co2000, it's stuck onto that co2 tank. I guess it's not a problem yet, but once you move on to hpa it'll be a waste to buy another reg cuz the one you bought is stuck on the old bottle..hope that helps
