I was woundering what a nice paintjob on a 4.0 I could use. I like it as it is, but I want something different then everyone elses. I was thinking about maybe a navy blue or something. I will not paint the barrel or anything that is silver, Just the main part of the body. Any suggestions?

if you realy want it to come out nice, buy car paint. a little pricey though. if i was you id buy some rustoleum, and do a fade job. get three colors that have some kind of relation with one another... for instance, red, yellow, and orange, or light blue, dark blu, and purple... fade them from light to dark... it would look sweet, when i get bored of my gun im going to do this. youll need to prime it first... say you were to use yellow red and orange... start by painting the whole thing yellow, then decide how much of it you want to be yellow, and start applying the orange, but spray farther away from thegun when you want it to fade to yellow... get it? and then do the same for the red on top of the orange.

wouldnt rustoleum create a flat finish? (which would be ok) but you could also send your gun out to an anodizer with instructions on what to strip and re-anodize with any specified color of anodize :P like blue!!!! you would have to specify not to strip or re-anodize any internal bores or threads since that would effect their diameters which may destroy functionality. this anodization process would be very expensive aswell :) I think for my jt4, ill just put some cool stickers on it when I find some that will look nice. :P so many options!

professional proshmessional... gunna cost some loot. im going to do mine from black to purple to light blue. i personally think the gun looks good in black so, unless you were gettin it annod, id stay away fom real bright colors. but thats me. thaswhy im doing the black faded to purple faded to light blue, from back to front on some kind of angle. probably leave the milling black, and clear coat it. it should look pretty sweet.

If anyone is like me, they lack painting experience and would rather pay just so their gun didn't screwed up and look crappy.

Those air brush guys are really good, I could get them to air brush a picture small enough to fit on my JT. I know a lot, from the motorcycle shop up the road.
