A lot of people are saying that they have been discontinued, and a few people vehemently deny that. Best bet? Get it from the horses mouth - ask SP: -

I wouldn't exactly call that the horses mouth though...you'll end up discussing it with a sales rep more likely.

Yes the gun has been discontinued.

SP needs a new high end marker, because the imp design is obsolete, the ion isnt exactly the high end many people want, and the shocker is still running off the three year old design. I mean, dye doesnt still make the dm3. They made revamped it. The sp shocker still uses the same parts, with minor upgrades. I mean, the nxt still uses all of the same shocker parts. The only difference, is the reg and the milling, and the barrel threads. They need a new gun quick.

People are still buying Timmys, Egos and Aliens, and they're the same basic design as the Impulse.

Smart Parts usually sells the same gun for 5 years, with minor upgrades, then retires it. YOU might want a new gun, but they're making plenty of money doing things their way.

There are some other, bigger changes to the NXT as well - the use of break beam eyes for instance, and the inclusion of the HE bolt kit as standard.

Put in context, while some of the changes are minor, there are as many differences between the SFT and the NXT as there were between the DM4 and DM5 for instance, and you could argue that the changes are more fundamental (going from reflective to break beam eyes is a big change). I think that the NXT is a worthwhile upgrade, and will keep the Shocker platform going for a while longer.

I beleive blue and red are completely drained from the factory. If you want one of those colors you'll have to check elsewhere.
