Ok, i am got a custom pro, and i was considering a flatline because i love the reason it shoots farther, so when i play woodsball for rec, i'll snipe people easier. NOW first question, does it work well with any paint that is .689? Next, does it bond well with the APE Rampage Board? Finally, is it loud?
EDIT: ok anotha thing, is there any barrel that shoots the ball much further and is nice to most paint like reg. barrel?

-Flattys work best with small-medium bore paint, so .689 is fine.
-The trigger device won't make any difference on how the Flatline performs.
-Yes, it's loud
-Apex > Flatline IMO

I would buy a apex because it has the flatline setting and may other unique things

im being polite becuase most people can't handle hearing things they dont like. so first off theres no point in having a flatline because the extra distance you will gain is useless because the paint wont break on the target. a barrel kit is far better as you can match the paint you are using. and theres really no such thing as sniping in paintball.

Now I now why he didn't want to say it. ;)
With the Flatline, good paint WILL break on a semi-hard surface (mask, gun, hopper, etc) past the normal effective range on a normal narrel. Now the chances aren't as good as a normal range shot, but the chance is still there, and the opponent will have to respect that. Besides I like the flat trajectory just as much as the longer distance.

there IS sniping in paintball.
look up the definition of "sniping"
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sniping
shooting from a concealed AND/OR a distant position.
even look at the definition of the word "sniper". it doesnt even mention distance in the "american heritage dictionary.
the true definition of the word makes it 100% possible and VERY common in the game of paintball. even speedball has sniping according to the definition. your shooting from a spot behind a bunker. not entirely concealed, but close enough.
the flatline is innacurate at long ranges. mostly because to hit the extra long ranges you have to arc the shot at about a 30 to 45 degree angle. the apex is the same way.

dont get a flatline, get a J&j or a barrel kit. with that extra 25-50 feet, the peint will be moving so slow they can see it, and it wont break unless it hits them perfectly in the lense.

with a flatline or an apex, either one will shoot farther then a normal barrel, may intimidate an opponent when they are getting shot at and even hit but with no breaking and all they can do about you shooting at them is run toward you, take it like a man, or duck for cover in which case you still can shoot them. thats one of my main uses of my flatline, that and it looks cool. also with an apex or flatline you can hit people from extream distances and not be shot yourself, which can come in handy in games, i know the extra range has saved me many of times.

i was thinking of an apex or maybe a J&J edge kit. the empire didn't sound too good and all i need is a 14" barrel

My teammate has a flatline. Its pretty good for him at least cuz he usually sits in the back and gives cover fire/snipes.
-My Friend was using Diablo heat last time we played and he was doing pretty well. I'm not sure what other paint works on it though.
-I don't know. I couldnt even test it cause i dont no anyone with an APE
-It's not extremely loud but it's a bit louder than the regular barrels.
