The first time i ever played a game of Pball (about a week ago) i had just gotten my STS g3 VF. (im still scrounging around for $$ to upgrade). The guys at the indoor place i went to were real nice, teaching me and such. Then when we got on the field, i had a better time then i had hoped. Since they all were using Semi's at about the same price, i felt like i was kinda one of them. Then this punk with some serious ****ed up hair comes in with a fuggin ANGEL :eyes: . Lets just say it went downhill. He kept braggin and holding my team down with non stop fully auto shots. I felt like i was in a war, not pballing anymore. It was as if this seriously expensive gun just ruined the entire experiance. So really, whats the point? Why do people need to have the best gun there is? upgrades are fine, but beating people with some auto or **** like it just by using scare tactics, it isnt fun anymore...

The more people brag and trash talk, the more fun it is to light them up. Instead of going one on one with him, next time use a couple teammates to distract and flank him. Attack him from multiple angles, he can't defend against all of you at once. Just keep after him and eventually you'll get it.

Gun doesn't mean anything.
Granted, looking at my sig doesn't help that, but when i get overconfident on the field, doesn't matter what i'm playin with, I'll get out.
Keep your head, and you will rock a rook w/ an angel reguardless of what your playin with(as long as its not a stingray).

Let the baby spend $100's of dollars on a marker, once you take him out your still better and you can brag to him.:blah:

I know, that guy probably kust bought that angel to make himself think he was good so he could brag and spray using auto. Its just like at SC Village, I've seen these 11 year old kids with freakin angels! They brag like hell, if they werent 10 Id teach them a lesson in boxxing. This is how it goes, Me-" hey kid nice angel", kid- keep dreaming with ur little cocker) , thats wut they say to me! ( Nothing against angels or autocockers - I wish I had an angel actually). But thats when the fun begins HEHE. On the field they think they re hot, until they get lit up like a christmas tree. - my response after they die, "ohhh, wut, duh little baby gonna go cry to mommy"

If there 11 years old, why do you bully them? You already lit the up. There to young to understand the sport yet. Give them a break but keep liting them up!

Ive never seen a 10 year old bully a 22 year old on markers. You got to be smarter then them but don't act like an idiot dancing around him cuz you shot him. Just say" yeah Ibet your good witrh you marker" then they'll keep there mouth shut.

thats why if your around my age you get a spyder(or clone) or tippman. Your more lickey to be respected by the other players ( they won't think your a spoiled lil brat) and you learn more about the game

i worked REALLY hard to get my procarbine :D... i wasnt allowed to work (yes iam under the age of 16) but instead i did small favors and little jobs... my parents were very nice... they knew i wanted something really bad and actually offered me a nice 'loan' which they assured me i wouldnt have to pay them back for years... well i didnt want it... i MUCH prefered working for my own gun... that way you chresish it more... like the first love leter you get :D... also when kids come up with angels... you dont have to do anything bad to them... my best friend actually worked for 1 year plus (again small jobs) and gave his money to his parents to buy them an angel on e-bay ( i think their is a age limit on getting an account on e-bay ? ) he was made so much fun of... i dont think he used that angel much... but instead borrowed some money from some friends and bought a m98...

i dunno... MOST kids with angels are spoiled... but my friend worked for it... he was very sad... he spent is live saving plus 1 years worth of working for it... and hes waiting till hes older to use it...

you guys gotta think about taht before you bash around little kids that have nice guns... unless they are really '***s' but if you have a yougner brother there age... get them to talk to them and diss em off!

There is always going to be someone that has the best toys, nothing you can do about that. No sense in sitting here wasting your time with philosophical ideas on why they shouldn't have an Angle cause their Dad bought it for them. Who cares where they got it? Whether you bought your own gun or someone else bought it for you, isn't going to have an impact on your play. Someday you'll probably move up to Angel or whatever is the best at that point in time.

I just get tired of all the whining about who has the best marker and whether they deserve it or not. If you can walk out on to the field with a Talon and smoke everyone regardless of the marker they have, it's because of your skill. Skill is the deciding factor in most competions, not equipment.

Just go out there and light them up. There is nothing more fun than to watch someone with a high end marker start dissin his own gun cause he didn't win. But deep down he knows you beat him on skill, which is gonna burn his *****. Wave your gun at him and smile, just to remind him you took him out. :)

I think the point is when a new player is on the field, nothing frustrates them more than not being given a change and just getting hosed by better players with really fancy toys. I've seen that quite a few times, and I usually try to get them to stick with me while I show them the ropes.

I think the main point is if you are a much better player and have a marker capable of out-classing a newbie with a pump, you have a definite responsibility to help them out and go easy on them while they learn. Take them under your wing as it were and make sure the experience is enjoyable for them. I'm not saying don't waste them, that's part of the game, but give them a fighting chance and maybe stop and teach them some tactics along the way. You may just find you not only made someone's first experience much more enjoyable, but you helped convince someone that this game rocks! :D

Fortunately, my first experience was a good one, the feild was nothing but newbies, me included. Damn, that was like 10 years ago! Brings a tear to me eye...

okay, this stuff has been pissing me off for a while now. a good example is the 90+ posts in the "kid with an angel thread"

i don't understand why so many people in paintball have to be such haters. just because someone has a better marker than them, they get all mad and jealous about it and say stuff like, "he didn't earn it, he's spoiled" all that stuff

what does it really matter?!?! it's just a paintball gun, just because someone was able to get one does it give you the right to talk trash? for some STRANGE reason, everyone thinks that only pros/highly skilled players DESERVE to have angels. it's something you BUY! it has nothing to do with how good you are. just because they're 11 year olds or they never played a game in their life, they have JUST AS MUCH right to own an angel as anyone else. why be all jealous about it and take sh*t? in the end the people talking sh*t are the ones who look bad because they show everyone that they're just jealous little babies.

also... put yourself in those kids shoes. if your parents offered to buy you an angel, would you say, "no thanks. i want a sh*tty gun like everyone else, just so i don't have to worry about them hating me for it." whatever.

parents buy their kids cars all the time, and that is A LOT more expensive than an angel, but i don't see as much trash talking about that. hell, if you're one of the people who's parents bought them a car, then you seriously have no right to get mad at a 10 year old who's parents bought them a paintball gun.

and to the person who started this thread, why are you getting mad that someone who had A LOT more experience than you, beat you?? his gun didn't beat you, HE did. it was your first time playing, no matter what gun he had he probably would have beaten you.

the very first time i played speedball i was using a spyder and consistantly took out people who were using angels and cockers, probably just beginners luck but remember, a good marker can only give you an edge, it does not make up for skill.

i actually won a new angel about a month ago. i had just bought a black magic cocker and really wasn't looking for an angel but i was given one.

do i deserve to have sh*t talked about me because i didn't *pay* for the angel myself?? do i not *deserve* the angel because i'm not a pro tourney player and don't know how every part works?? no, that's stupid. so the same goes for little kids who had their parents buy it for them. anyone has the right to buy one and you shouldn't hate them for it just because you weren't as lucky.

i paid for my cocker on my own, so do i feel better than other people who had it bought for them??? no, i might appreciate it more because i had to earn it, but that doesn't make me better than anyone else.

i thnk that's the most important point of all, YOUR MARKER DOESN'T MAKE YOU BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. it should NOT be seen as a status symbol, it's just a d@mn paintball gun. it doesn't have anything to do with how good you are or how much you 'deserve' it.

paintball is a GAME. it was meant to be fun playing. you shouldn't let your petty jealousy or macho BS (a different issue) get in the way of your fun, or more importantly, the fun of others.

that's all i have to say, play safe

Been using the same marker for a year, One guy that plays against me alot had a mag. Still could take me out or alot of other guys ,So he buys a Blazer uses it for 2 weeks,Still same thing Gets a timmy now sets it full auto. still same thing walks off the field head down.
Point is ,its not the marker that makes a player. Its the player that makes the marker. Spray and pray will not get me out, Someone with skill takes me out most of the time. Markers be it in a new kids hands or someone with skill don't scare me.
The whole thing is you got to use the head god gave you when you come up to someone that thinks I got this kick butt marker and I am better Idea. I always look for the best players on the other side. If i get taken out I go after them till I get them. Its calling learning the game.
