I was just browsing on firstcall today, and I saw these. If I didn't already have a good barrel kit, I would be all over it.

The only catch is the barrel adapter though. How that would affet performance, I don't know.

Yeah, the barrel adapter steers me away from it. . .

Agreed, adds an extra 2" to the barrel lenght. Too long for my taste.

i think the adapter is only for angel threads or thats how the description makes it sound, of course the price drops only a month after i drop 90 on a pipe
edit: i guess the threads are angel and the adapter makes them non angel

Why would you say it makes them useless???

because the barrel adapter is made super big so it will fit all paints. When you use a back the point is to get a perfect fit around the ball. With the barrel adapter that isn't going to happen.

Yes, but if you think about it its like having 1-2 more inches of breech. After that the ball enters the back and gets stabalized before entering the tip of the barrel.

Not really because you really need a nice fit for that first few inches more than anything. Air will be escaping around the ball which will effect your efficiency. Its not as good as just a straight up barrel kit that screws directly into your marker.

True, but accuracy wont be affected. As long as the adaptor is bigger than the backs bore.

higher chance of breaking paint with that adapter on I'd assume.

This guy got it. They give you a Barrel adapter for angel threads to whatever you want, this is not necessarily used with the Pipe kit.
Example: You had an angel and you bought a DM5. Now any barrels you had are useless. Well since you are getting your new pipe kit with cocker threads, they will give you a cocker to angel adapter so any of your old angel barrels can now be used on your new gun.
Pointless? It sure is. but hey, just buy the pipe and sell off the adapter if you can. $40 is still a great deal ont he kit.

Im lost on the adaptor deal. If you do buy the kit from there are they gonna send you angel backs or cocker, ion, or spyder backs?
