I am wondering why many people "claim" ions are better than promasters but I have seen used ones being thrown around like crazy for dirt cheap and I have only seen 1 or 2 promasters that are going for $300.

I'll take my PM5 over a DM5 any day. It's not about the price, it's about the consumers.

They sell for so less, because they are only 200 new, and they are everywhere. They are the number 1 choice for people looking to buy their first gun, or people who are looking to upgrade from a lower end gun.

People buy them, upgrade them, claim they "work just as well as any high-end gun", then sell them so they can buy a higher end gun.

Distribution. There are quite a few more Ions on the market than Promasters.

I think ions are the best markers for players starting out in speedball. they're easier to get and like you said you can get them cheap. promasters are also good markers [ they're more expensive though ] but if your a beginner or starting to get some what serious in speedball get an ion. if your not a beginner and are just now wanting to upgrade to a differn't marker for a decent price get a promaster.
