Chat not working

For the past week or so, I can't get the chat to work in my home. The key word being home. When I take my laptop to the school library and use their wireless connection, it works. When I'm at home and I'm using my lan line (DSLish type connection) it doesn't work. The weird thing is that it used to work in my home with this connection. I tried restarting my computer, updating flash and my browser and nothing is working. Can anyone help me?

If its DSL, reset your modem. Everytime you reset it should give you a new IP from a different server (depending on your ISP). Also make sure its not blocked by your firewall (disable any firewalls and try going to the chat) and you have cookies enabled in your browser settings.

I don't have access to the modem because I get it through my apartment complex. Also I do have cookies enabled and my internet security never blocked the chat before.

Yeah, but you may want to check it anyways. Especially if its Norton Internet Security. Mine sometimes blocks random things. Last week it blocked Internet Explorer from accessing the internet and i spend like an hour trying to find out what was wrong and then i disabled NIS and it worked. Just have to check everything and find out the problem through proccess of elimination. If all else fails i guess reinstall your flash player so it resets all permissions and what not.

Maybe someone on your network could have messed with settings?

The only security I have running is whatever comes with Mozilla and yet I still can't load it.

Try using IE.

In my opinion IE>FF. I know many people disagree with that.
