i was wondering if anyone knows of a site other than specialops that i can get this or something similar from.

ok, i found that offset hopper thing, although VERY USELESS, at tippmannparts.com and if u haven't bought the scope yet, ditch it. It's no use. just get a qev or vortex mod, or if u have those, get a stock. A nice small one, like the army stocks.

Yea, scopes are basically pointless, cept for MAYBE a red dot scope, but not a sight. The magnification is only good if you are scouting, and are into hardcore scenario/woodsball. You are better off getting a qev or vortex mod, like duke said.

ok thanks, but why would u say that it is useless, it moves the hopper out of the way for the scope..
and dont tell me that a scope has no use, because it does..

and yes i am into woodsball, never tried speedball

its hard to use a scope in the middle of a game and
paintballs dont go straight bullets do thats why they have scopers of real guns

well the cyclone is already out of the way, but the offset hopper thing is an add on to the cyclone part already, so it increase Ball hold, but Increases Profile and sight with it, when it really isn't needed. and also i have heard it doesn't always hold on.

U dont know what a vortex mod is ehhh?

Well, lemme post u this little piece of info since i hate explaining things 500 times.

The Vortex Mod is for those looking to have the fastest and most reliable cyclone feed available. Initially TechT was looking to make parts that were just more durable than the stock plastic internals. However, through testing, they started to realize that they could, and should, actually make higher performing parts. The result was awesome!!!
Features:

This upgrade makes the cyclone loader work at lower pressures. During testing TechT ran the A5 until it ran out of air. The result was that the loader continued to load balls all the way down to 100-150 psi. At that point, the gun stopped re-cocking. Understand that results will vary a bit based on the condition of your cyclones internal o ring, and how well its lubrcated. But know that it will feed at lower pressures.
Typically the stock parts stop loading balls at about 350-400 lbs. That's enough pressure to still shoot about 200fps, but you are forced to manually feed each ball by hand. With the Vortex Mod, you're cyclone will keep you in the game longer.
It makes sense that if the parts make it so the loader takes less air to work, that they also could make the loader work faster. TechT tested one of the new Tippmann 98 Pro-E with ACT (anti-chop technology) with a standard Halo, Empire Reloader B, Standard Cyclone, and a Cyclone feed with a Vortex Mod. They doubted that any loader would keep up to 25 bps, but because the gun had the ACT "jam bolt" it was safe to out shoot the loader without having to worry about chopping paint. After shooting about 500 rounds through the gun with each hopper the results were conclusive. The standard halo would feed 4-5 shots, and then stop loading. The Empire Reloader B fed about 7-10 shots and then stopped loading. The Standard Cyclone fed about 10-15 shots and then stop loading, and the Vortex Mod would shoot nice long streams of paint and only a skip a couple balls.
So, if you are sick of buying replacement internals for your Cyclone Feed, and you want the most durable, efficient, and fastest parts available, these little beauties are for you. These parts are made of anodized aluminum and come with a 1 year warranty through TechT.
Kit includes all pins and screws you will need, however you will need the stock springs for the ratchet.

thank you skyronics, that is what i was talking about. Now, i have seen the a-5 w/o that on and it makes no difference, but takes a bigger profile and trust me, when u play speedball (which i know u will, trust me) if u even think of snapping out right, u better hold ur gun sideways, or u'll get hopper hit all day.

i have seen that, and i like it, but i'm afraid if i had that, i wouldnt be able to take off the hopper without taking my scope off.. i only say this because of the way the hopper twists off:|

i have no intentions of speedballing, no where to do it around here

justin123456
10-11-2006, 04:52 PM
well whether or not it is hard to take it off, i really dont want to carry around allen keys and other tools, when i could just leave it on..

and there is a field around here, but i think its just a woodsball field, they might have a speedball field, but this place is new and i dont think many people go to it:| and its only open liek every 3 weeks or somehting

We ship to Canada every day and USPS is an option. Cheaper than UPS.

We also sell a sight rail that might work for your scope:
