Scenario Tips

My field and a few others are considering running a scenario game this summer, it would have around 200 people and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to organize this and any good theme ideas. My boss would be gratefull for them :) .

STEP 1. You're going to need the idea b/c everything flows from there. Something semi original so you don't have to worry about any copyright stuff. Anything from space invaders, mole people, geneticaly altered super soldiers, mutants, zombies, whatever the possibilities are limitless.

STEP 2. Next decide who the generals are. People who are heavy into scenario games, part of their own scenario teams, been to a bunch, like to role paly etc. etc. make good generals. Get the whole hierarchy thing figured out. Also the main creator or someone who really knows what's going on needs to be sorta God, someone who monitors everything and keeps the story moving.

Step 3. On your fields website promote the heck out of it, post pics, story, back idea, everything you can possible think of to get people interested in it. Between games at the field have the refs talk about it talk to players, the key here is to build up Hype and then let the players kinda snow ball it for you.

Step 4, Refine the idea until day of play.
