Not sure what you mean by that. Sure there are some idiots who get all pissy over stuff like that, but most of the mods here even frequent other sites. I drop in on pbnation and pbc on a fairly regular basis, even AuctionJunkie one of our mods is an active part in moderating on both pbnation and on pbreview. There isn't really much of a divide at all

Sites really are pointless balls dont travel far enough for a adco sight to be practical. Sight rail works fine if not better because you can adjust accordingly if the balls are curving and such. Plus anyone with a aftermark site is a give away of people who havent played for longer then a year or two. You will realize this after you play for another year or two. I used to use a site when i played rec ball with my tippmann. You dont see any pros use sites doesnt that tell you something. Now after 8 years of playing and going through 8 guns from a tippmann spyder mag rt angel and 3 cockers i finally realize how dumb sites really are.

Depends on your game...

5 on 5 tourney play maybe. Closer ranges, and sight soffer another spot for paint to break.

I play rec ball at a wooded 60 acre field that ussualy has 2 teams of 40+, 70+ on bigger days. I have a Millet red dot on my Phantom. I helps with the long balling and allows me to shoot into holes in peoples cover I get get to with my other markers. Plus, it freaks the noobs out to see the wierd pump gun with the "scope"

Sights are one of the most useless things you could buy in paintball. The paint does not go where you aim the scope. Paint just doesn't have the distance or accuracy. Pumps are very accuracte but you will probably get shot in the scope. I play tourney ball and one there isn't enough time to aim. Two if you have made it this far you should know when you shoot where your paint will go. And three instead of buying that expensive scope you could have bought something more usefull for paintball purposes. One day all the peeps that use scopes will find out how dumb it is.

I'd agree with coyote. It depends on the game. Speedball it'd be pointless. Indoor games...it'd be pointless. But woods games when you can take your time, and take the time to aim, a red dot sight is a nice thing to have. I've used mine quite effectively in conjunction with my SP AA. :) Now, if you're a front player or very active...then I'd agree a sight is pointless. But for those of us that play a bit slower/more cautiously...a red dot is kinda nice to have.
