So a regular barrell is 12', now you get a 14' barrel and its supposed to be better for accuracy right? Ok so on a .68 barrel how is one better then another? They are all 14 inches and hollow inside. Take for instance j and j cermaic, dye ultra light and freak barrel.

Barrel performance depends on the quality of milling, porting, and micro honed finish inside.

However if you go too short or too long the gun will have to use more air to get to 280fps so your whole setup becomes ineffcient. Not to forget going too long gives the ball more material to rub against and will increase chances of the ball breaking in the barrel. Stay 12-16" and you'll be fine.

Then reverse what he told you...
I don't think we understand the question

Also, different barrels are different sizes, they vary almost .01", which isn't much but can make noticeable difference in efficiency and barrel brake frequency.

The question he is stuck on is very clear, if you read.

He wants to buy another tank, so he can have a tank for each gun.

Why would you do that?
That's just throwing money out the window.

Yeah that is a waste of money, but I guess it is more convienient.

NOT a waste of money. It is always good to have more than one tank. Both for convienience and backup. Plus what if you bring a friend to show them whats up and they have no equipment, easily can now let them borrow your backup set up.

I agree. to backup parts! Every time I go play, I have 3 complete set-ups: Gun, Hopper, tank and barrel. If I get a 3rd mask, i could get 3 people on the field at once with my own equipment.

mmp - the internal barrel size will vary by .001", not just .01". With Barrel kit, you will get backs that range in size from about .682" to .696".

As stated, you also want to look as the inside finish. If you campare a Stock Tippmann 98 barrel to a Dye Ultralite, you will see a huge difference. That is something that makes some barrels more expensive then others.
