today I went to try my newly aquired model 98custom, and I am having a bit of a problem. I gassed it up, set the reg to 300psi (i have the LP kit) and took a few shots. I continued this for about 140 shots or so. Then I took off the tank and looked at the gauge. I started out at 3000psi, a hair below, and now I have dropped down to 1800psi. Its a PMI 48cu tank too. I only took 160 shots at most, and lost 1200psi. Whats wrong???? I souldnt lose that much, right?

You can only get 480-500 shots with a 48cu.in.

I know but now I am on my way to about 350 shots...
Try setting the reg to about 350psi. I think the LP kit is supposed to actually bring it down to between 300psi and 400psi as compared to the stock 800psi. That "could" be one problem, but I really don't think it is.
Also, it's a small tank. You won't get that many shots out of it. Especially since it's a Tippmann. They're generally gas hogs. Especially earlier models, boy do they take a toll on gas.

my bad, before I said it went from 3000psi to 2800psi, it actually dropped to 1800psi. Will that change anyones response? So, basically i shot 160 times and lot 1200psi. Normal? No?
