i'm a rookie and i was wondering what marker, a m98 or a spyder shutter would be the better beginner gun. i play in the woods and indoors so it can't be too bulky thanks-bruno

Well here is something very, very interesting. Now if this was right and I calculated it right. The C98 rocks velocity consistancy on the 2nd string! It has a shot deviation of 3.1 or 3.5! But on the 1st string it was an average gun thing on shot to shot velocity! So on the 1st string the Shutter does better, but on the 2nd string of 10 shots the C98 does the Same!

I would go for any Spyder as a begginer gun.

Tippy 98 Custom. It's a good starter gun, and it can slowly be upraded to tournament level.

What do you want out of the marker? If you want something for speedball with a high rate of fire go with the shutter. Durability, and reliability, in woods play? you can't do better than the 98c. The velocity chart that -ShutterSLug- dosn't do the 98c justice. I know the site that probable came off of the the first string sucks because in the second string the C02 had warmed up.

Hey um, That was preatty spectaccular results for a 120$ gun! I was complementing the c98 on how it can come close to a 160$ gun! I was surprised to see those results, because on a normal stock tippmann c98, I normaly see the results would be like a 6 f.p.s. shot to shot difference. (That chart was with a stock c98!)So my point is, although I dont always see a c98 do that well, it can do very well at times however, according to that chart on www.paintballgunreview.com!
