I am thinking seriously about getting a phantom but I have afew questions
How many balls per second can you get out of one? :) I know thats not the point of one but I am curious.
Can I hold my ground against higher end semi guns?
Will dye sticky grips fit on the .45 frame?
What screw pattern is on the bottom of the .45 frame? Is it spyder, m98 style?
How stiff/ hard is the pump action?
Are they relaible?
How will one run on nitro?
Thanks for the help and time. I know there are a lot of questions but i am in need of help! :)

nice list....

1: well, if it was a PA phantom, about 10, but with just auto trigger, 3 maybe
2: that is completely derived by the abillity of the players, we can't help you here
3: not sure, i think they will.
4:pump action is nice, not sniper style but nice. once you break it in, its perfect/
5: the holes are standard asa, inline. but the frame is slanted, making your tank suck CO2 if you don't buy a wedge.
6: reliability is only an insue with the hard lines/micro lines.
7: they run on nitro about the same as co2 on a summer day, but for winter, its a blessing.

hope you buy one.

1. I'd agree with two or three bps, especially if you want to hit anything.
2. Yep. If you're good, you will be outgunned by high end semis, but will manage. If you're bad, you'll get bunkered all day long by good players as you cower behind your bunker.
3. The .45 frames come with hogues, but yes, the dyes will fit. sometimes it takes a little bit of work though.
4. Standard screws. if you want a bottomline, support Mike and buy the CCI one. It fits, and he's a good guy after all.
5. The pump action will depend a lot on how stiff of a main spring you have. I like it though.
6. Very reliable. You can't find a much more reliable gun, not even your Model 98!
7. Mine runs all year round on CO2 without any problems at all. No need for nitro, but it'll run just fine. The heavy tank might unbalance the gun though.

Thanks a lot for the help, I really appriciate it. I have 2 more questions too
Can I put macro lines instead of the micro If I switched the fittings? I am assuming you can.
Is a drop forward for a Phantom unheard of? I think I want a drop but I am not sure if I could attach one. Would I need a vert adaptor or some really long micro/macro lines? I made a drop for my tiger shark and I like how it balances out. I would use my nitro tank so it might me a bit awkward with out a drop. Thanks again! Oh yeah, whats the PA phantom?

A drop is not unheard of on a phantom. You probably should get a vertical air kit for your phantom if you plan to run one, but you could just get a really long piece of macro line (yes, macro will work). If you get a vertical air kit, it is easier to run a regulator. PA stands for pneumatic assist. The pump stroke is pneumatically assisted, making it very, very short and light. It's an upgrade that you would have to have custom done, and it costs a couple or few hundred dollars, i believe.

So you had a nitro on a tiger shark. That would look a little odd. The tank would probably be worth three times as much as the gun
