i wanna trade my 68/45 crossfire with my friend for a brand new 45/45 crossfire but we dont know what i should add
what we kinda have so far is:
i would trade:
68/45 crossfire made in 5/06 has 4 and half years on hyder, good condition
nipple protector
tank cover
(tank cover+nipple protector+35)
and he wants me to add 10 more bucks, but i dont think i should
i would get:
brand new 45/45 crossfire
meh? is that fair if i dont add 10 bucks?

Make him add so you can get a tank cover for the 45/45.
Besides that, no.

Wait, so you are giving him.. 68/4500, thread protector, $35, tank cover AND another $10 for just his 45/45? No way.

why do you want the 45/45 anyway? it's crossfire for crossfire. i say he's getting the better deal.

Because there is a noticeable size and weight difference..

The tanks, assuming they are identical in everything but size, should be a straight up trade. The 68/4500 holds more air, but is a larger size, it's more for mids/backs, the 45/4500 is designed for fronts, smaller and lighter, but not at as much air. Why do you think both tanks sell for the same amount of cash?

Trade straight up. If one tank is newer, perhaps someone needs to add 10 bucks, but that's it.
Tank cover: $15
Nipple protector: $5
Total w/ the $10= overpriced by $30.

I'd say do a straight up trade and keep the nipple cover and nipple cover. If he really wants it, who cares if his is newer your still has 4 years to hydro, make him pay $30 for your cover and nipple protector.

If his tank is in better condition, add $10. Nothing else.

as stated, it should be a straight up tank trade. If you are adding a nipple cover, thread saver and tank cover, if anyone should be adding, it should be him.

I say, you keep the Thread saver and fill nipple cover, give him the tank and the cover, and have HIM ADD $15 to his tank.

If he complains, tell him that you have to go buy a new tank cover, and he is getting one. If he still complains, then don't do the trade with him.

i agree, this should be an almost straight up trade. the difference between the tanks is purely personal preference. would you rather have a smaller lighter tank, or one with larger capacity? they are the same price new. and yours is so new that it shouldn't matter much that it is used. its probably good as new. I would say give him the tank with the tank cover, thats it. and thats because its a different size cover than you would need for the 45/4500, so you wouldnt need it anymore, and it would compensate for the 5 months of use that your tank has had compared to his. keep the nipple, you can still use that on the 45. dont add any cash.

Don't trade unless its straight up. For the price of giving him the tank cover and nipple protector you could buy a small drop forward. You may be happier with that.

his tank wouldnt be used, hes gonna buy it online new then give it to me then i give him all that stuff
should it still be tank for tank?

Yup.
Possibly it could be your tank+cover for his tank+cash. Besides that, no, unless it's a straight up trade.
Because he is trading you a tank w/ less air capacity, and slightly lighter and smaller, there's no way you should add.

Lotus makes a good point. You dont need the cover. Maybe do your tank+cover for his tank+$10. That should work out fair.
