I know theres a velocity adjuster but I'm wondering if you put a reg, what pressure is ideal to shot at 285

tippys run at High Pressure... normally around 800-850psi... they can run lower if some simple mods are done... but for now there are other upgrades that would help more than a regulator

Stock, they run at about 800/850 psi. With a nice new reg, you could maybe get it to as low as 350+ psi. Other ups such as lightened internals can also help with lowering the operating pressure. Personally, I wouldn't go LP with a Tippmann unless it was a project or something.

Unfortunately we can't answer this question for you. The only way to have the velocity set right is by using a chronograph.

so basically the internals for a 98c takes 800-850.

I want better consistancy and less kick..Its a project gun so I can play with the rentals =)
Do empire b work with tippys feedneck?

what I want to run
98c w/ act
reg (det, evil, cp)
hp (68/4500)
14" barrel (evil or jj)
rt

Yes, unless you want to go to a low pressure setup, a high pressure reg that runs in the 800-850 range is ideal.

Kick will probably be the same, but consistency should be improved.

so you are talking about HP tank regs?
cause inline regs usually do 200-450

ion regs only do 0-240 or so

my tanks will be HP

If you want to reduce kick and increase efficiency, your best option is to go LP. Inline regs can go higher than 450 psi, but not too often. Stock Ion regs only go up to 240 psi because they are LP stock.

A empire b loader would work fine in a tippmann, because it is more than you need. If you do put one on you marker it would probably drop afew bps, due to the feeding elbow.
