Kinda like compared apples to oranges here.

The Trilogy is the better gun in every area but speed and upgradeability. I'm not a big fan for an electronic gun for a beginner, but how much speed you want is the deciding factor. If you want more than 5 bps out of your gun, then the Imagine is the way to go.

Easy trigger!!! What for a few more reply's before making your conclusion!

The Spyder is by far better for a beginner (I have a up'd Imagin for sale in sig) ANYWAY. An autococker is a complex piece of machinery, which requires very fine-tuning and trigger skills (don’t double stroke)! The Imagin although it is a low end mechanical, it can be highly upgraded, easy to maintain, and cheep to fix. If I were you I would go with the Imagin (Ohh did I say I had a up'd one for sale) lowl anti:doggy:

Same as above, and also it takes alot of trouble to clean and autococker, Spyders are nice and simple. I would recommend the Imagine.

Yeah I hear a lot of people have a lot of problems with their's leaking due to all of the confusting pneumatics. Spyder Imagine would be a better gun for a new player.

I also agree w/ DJ about the cocker. I'd get the imagine or save up for the VS2.

Cocker would probobly last you longer, and probobly is better qualitly.

However, it'll be a nightmare to maintain for a beginer, and it's slower. Also, you would have to get used to how to pull the trigger. You have to fully pull it and let it fully return. When I first picked up a cocker, I kept on screwing up, so the cycle would mess up. (I know theres a term, but I can't recall it.)

I'd have to reccomend the imagine. It's faster, easier to maintain, and more upgradable.

The only time I'd really reccomend a cocker is if you absolutely LOVE them, and have somethign else to fall back on. Like buying a motorcycle when you already have a car.

The term your looking for is short-stroking i believe. The only time's i'd recommend a cocker is the person as been playing awhile and up to keeping the cocker maintained. And then it'd only recommend the prostock w/ e2 or karni.

OK now, the Autococker is NOT a tough gun to maintain. It only takes a little bit of learning to figure it out, and it's almost as tricky to learn a Spyder than the Trilogy. Once you do have the Trilogy figured out, it will be MUCH more reliable than the Imagine. The Autococker will rarely have to be messed with while the Imagine has a tendency to be a maintenance nightmare. Now I'm not saying the Trilogy is better, but the ideas about it need to be cleared up.

as much of a WGP fan as i am i'm going with the spyder on this one... everyone i have known who has had a trilogy has had problems with it
if ur looking in to getting a cocker go with a used 02/03/04 prostock u can find those for just as much if not less than a new trilogy especially stock 03/04's me being an owner of an 03 i have to say that there is alot of learning involved... but what gat doesn't need a little attention right?

Spyder is more upgradeable, faster and alot easier to properly maintain than the cocker. Honestly, I don't see what the trilogy might have over a spyder imagine. I had my spyder running for 2 years solid and it always worked great, then I sold it to buy some new paintball pants. I sold my mech cocker in 2 weeks because of of the short stroking, pneumatics outside the gun were a bit of a pain (to clean/protect) and timing was a ****** (there are certain parts of an autocker that when you upgrade and change them out you have to re-time it).

Okay...but your also going to need a fast hopper and decent N2 tank for it. Thats going to cost you another 250. Just seems weird that someone would have a choice between a $70 marker, a $130 marker, and a $450 marker...
